they do a skid plate too, like a metal sump guard. im thinking it may be a better option than a splitter

That skid plate looks prety cool actually! Been planning a couple small tweaks to the front of the bug to make it more agressive.. Little cost (as always :D), just not sure how it's goign to look in the flesh.. Photoshops look promising though :D

.. sadly scoobs been off the road for weeks now with a dodgy rear hub / abs issues. I suspect something wasn't quite tightened after the RR incident. Buggered wheel bearing was diagnosed at the MOT this year but on further inspection after stripping down the hub and bearing it appears the drive shaft nut wasn't fitted securely which was the more likely cause of minor wheel wobble at the MOT B)

I remember having a "moment" on the skye run on the way down to the monument, at one point the back end just felt very wrong on a easy right hand bend, pulled over thinking I had a puncture, but couldn't see anythign a miss.. Havent been too happy with the car since then, but think I've finally got the bottom of it!.. Currently waiting for a replacement hub to arrive so hopefully the car will be back on the go again soon

deer deer...sounds like you have the same issue that we have around here and if im right you will probably say they are usually the same size as a horse and if hit would cause major damage, anything that would help this is good as the old light pods seeem to be an absolute fortune too, this looks reasonable for price

I got off lightly with mine a couple years back.. No significant damage.. Hit at around 50-60mph.. Wouldn't of been so bad inf the thing kept running, but it stopped in the middle of the road to look at the car then carried on.. Whack!!!

Seen a few deer running around recently.. But now drivign a Ford Ka into work so if I hit a deer It's less of a problem, but the Ka will almost certainly come off worse B)
