Surely they're comes a point when they must realise how much they are pricing themselves out of the pump. If customers are replacing the pump and crawling to the next station, its bad days.

I love how the price of cruid is dropping and the price of fuel is rising and the dollar is quite stable at the mo so they cant blame that either. TW@TS

^Exactly, the price of Crude oil is hovering around the $70 a barrel at the moment, yet the prices are around the same as when it was $140 a barrel, sickening!

Ah, but they "have to guarantee supply for the next X months"... Aye - supply of cash to their pockets most likely! Grr!

Does the Shell in Airdrie still not sell V-Power (even although they have the banners up etc)

I usually go to Bellshill, or Coatbridge/Baillieston if I'm passing.

Shell Bellshill is up for a refit early next year :rotfl:

Shell are now introducing Ethanol derived fuels across the range.

Causing us all sorts of problems on the retanks.

More Shell re-fit info coming soon.

Dave are we talking E85 here or a small mixture of ethanol through normal vpower?

If they would pull there finger out and start selling E85 I would just get mapped for that and run that all the time.

Even Methanol is only 50p a litre so may just get mapped for a 30% mix as that would save me 15% on every tank of fuel ie. £15ish

Hi lads Grant here from AWD In Perth

Yes the price of V-POWER is a joke here in perth too,so most of my customers are going to Tescos to fill up on 99 BAD MOVE DONT DO THIS TO YOUR SCOOBY.

The cars are running poorly and on modified ones its ten times worse causing all sorts of probelms .also all of you in the Know will understand due to the cold weather returning the boost will creep up a wee bit and with tescos 99 petrol its just a disaster waiting to happin.

Watch your boost closely people.

I'm fine mate, you?

I actually said to the assistant behind the till about the banners/delas on the pumps - they shouldn't advertise what they don't sell, but in one ear and right out the other side without touching the sides!

May seem petty, but it isn't half annoying when your running low and can't be bothered with Bellshill/Coatbridge etc!

Na not E85, smaller quants all to do with the "greener" Shell organisation.

I can find out off distribution what the exact quants are if you wish?

I usually use Bellshill or Hamilton and the price is a pure joke in general, robbers the lot of them.

The new Tesco garage across from the shell in bellshill sells 99 and also is mobbed all the time making the bellshill shell quite quiet which is good.

You are a tightwad Kenny, lol. i stopped worrying about the price years ago as i would just get raging all the time, life is too short and its only going to get worse as the blame the climate change to squeeze more money from us.

Not too bad at all mate :)

Yes it can be very annoying especially when you have seen the banners when passing and think yes "I will go there when i need petrol"only to go there then have to got to Coatbridge :rotfl:

The EU have stipulated that all fuels have to be at least 5% bio fuels, so Shell will be adhering to that.

As far as Tesco 99 goes, I've never heard of the problems mentioned above, Duncan Graham used to run his Time Attack car on the stuff.

ohh well 5% is better than nothing i suppose, only ever ran mine on tescos 99 without any problems as well right up to the point i melted two pistons :)

which had nothing to do with the fuel i might add :rotfl:

Leave it with me i shall contact the main Distribution man this week and see what he says?

If there are any specific questions anybody has regarding the fuel aspect ( but not the price) then please add it here and i shall try and get a response.

Will this bring the Ron up?

Will shell be going down the E85 (or alternative) route?

When are the ball bags going to stop ripping us off for V-power!

(better not ask the last one lol)
