wrxcook
Hi people I'm driving a 2003 wrx ppp just had it mapped at extreme motorsport and it is 280 bhp 1.44 bar boost, the guys there are recomending a boost controller and an actuator to move forward at a cost of £750 with mapping, this is my first Subaru and would like to know what use think thanks Link to comment
C_WRX
Have kinda similar and for me it'd be aiming for the 340bhp mark. Basically loads of STi like parts - Not sure if you have decat up-pipe in ppp pack, if not then that. Bigger turbo (e.g. VF34/VF35/TD05-16G). Uprated spark plugs if not already done (e.g. NGK PFR7B). 550cc injectors (STi pinks basically). STi intercooler. Most of this could be 2nd hand. Have a wee read here : http://www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk/58901.html Think that's about it ?? Oh, with next stage extra power you should also consider better brakes, and why not handling while your at it ! Edited October 28, 2009 by C_WRX Link to comment
BJM
Agree. Consider buying suspension bits. Front & rear roll bars and droplinks. No point in approaching a corner quickly if you've got to scrub it all off to go round it !! I know that does not sound like much fun as phowar I've got 9000bhp. But Improve the handling and you'll go quicker. Link to comment
P1_Paul
You're not going to get much more from the TD04 turbo, so I have NO idea why they recomended the boost controller other than to fleece you. Assuming you have a full decat, your next move is to buy a VF34/35 turbo, 255 lhr fuel pump, 550cc injectors(from STi), STi intercooler and a further remap. Should see you around 330-340 bhp.
