wulsey
Hi guys as some of you may or may not know i sold my Modified white bugeye wrx 340bhp/340lbft back in july, & then in august i bought this Autovouge styled A4 Avant, Audi was a great car but there is just something about the scooby i just couldnt live without so i bought this last weekend. 2006 Hawkeye STI PPP. I bought the car from J Perfomance in Coventy after seeing it on Pistonheads & have to say im not disappionted & Jan & Sam (father & son) from J Performance couldnt have been nicer, the car is in mint condition as is all the stock with sell, they even delivered the car up to me in Scotland on Tuesday. Have done over 400miles this weekend in the car & im really liking the 2.5 sti have a few mods planned, starting with the handling, getting a set of BC coilovers, whiteline rear arb, rear drop links & anti lift kit fitted in the next couple of weeks. Richie Cross
I never thought I was a fan of white scoobies but really liked the black/white mix you had on your old one. Loving the new one as well. Did it already come with the front grilles etc? Link to comment

mystery machine
I hadn't even realised you'd traded that beautiful bug for a - gulp - AUDI?! Exactly what kind of madness were you overcome by man? Anyway - delighted to see that you've returned to the fold in uber-style! Can't go wrang with a metallic grey Hawk STI, here's mine: Tell us more about how your hawk compares with the old bug. I'm always interested to hear that sort of stuff, as the only two Impreza turbos I've ever driven were my Hawk WRX and the above STI Link to comment

Did it already come with the front grilles etc? The grilles, splitter & black headlights were all done by J Performance where in bought the car from. Since then ive replaced the pink fog decals with black ones, added some black flaps & fitted smoked side repeaters. Link to comment

The Audi seemed a good move at first, but now im happy as larry back in a scooby. Its hard to tell any real dufferences between my bug & the hawkeye as i had modified the bug that much that it was just like a sti & it had 340bhp. The 2.5 & 6 speed do feel very good though. mystery machine
I never traded the bugeye in i sold it on. Wasn't implying you had, Barry my man. Just meant 'traded' in the wide sense, as in 'gotten rid of and replaced with' Its hard to tell any real dufferences between my bug & the hawkeye as i had modified the bug that much that it was just like a sti & it had 340bhp.The 2.5 & 6 speed do feel very good though. Aye, the 6-speed is great - one of my favourite features. Played with the DCCD much yet? Link to comment

mystery machine
No yet mate think i'll just leave in auto for now. Aye - the handling's peachy in Auto, and as far as I can deduce, that's the mode to use for the ultimate in speed/grip.Sticking it in manual mode an rolling the lock control right back to 'O' seems to liven up the back-end, and possibly sharpen the steering a bit - which I quite like. Also had a few power oversteer shimmies, which - if I'm being honest - make me feel like more of a man. I guess if I also took the dress off that might help too... (I'm kidding about that last part ) Link to comment
mystery machine
Yes mate they are parking senors. Interesting - just thought I'd ask because mine doesn't have them. I guess I was hoping you were going to tell me that they're used to spray pink paint at tailgaters or some other such James Bondish shenanigans Link to comment
