Conrods

I was wondering if anyone knew if the conrods used in the WRX and STi engines from MY06 onwards are the same, and what level of power these are expected/able to handle. If they are not the same, does anyone know what level of power each of the conrod types can safelty handle?

I'm guessing/hoping that they are the same

Pistons and shells (internals). I think Dunc would have suggested conrods while he was in there, cause he suggested a few other things. I am assuming that they are the same since he didn't.

Well the box will come with a DCCD... if I ever get to uprating to the STi job

Unsure if both the rods are the same, but AFAIK they are.

Will cope with around 500hp....it's revs they don't like. Anything above 6.5k is getting touch and go.

Well, its defo on my wish list, but not for a long while yet. By the time I can afford it, I'll be too old to enjoy it, but yes I'd like to install a turbo capable of 400bhp and the box to handle it. Gotta be the box first though but for the present, I'm contenting myself with some cosmetic mods.
