richie1985
i have had my 2003 blob eye sti ppp for about 2 weeks now and i dont like my brakes much there "ok" but there not giving me the "bite" that im used to in my prevous cars like when i had my honda civic type R and mazda RX8 fair, enough the speed im braking at is about 20-25mph faster than the other cars im used to but still i dont have confidence to fully commit to braking in them, im pretty sure the pads are not worn down as i looked at them and they are fine and i blagged a shot of someone elses sti ppp at the last meet and his brakes "feel" the exact same as mine do and his are 2 months old since he got new pads/discs anyways just to be clear after this rambling the brakes are ok there fine its just lacking a bit more of a "bite" so my questions is to you guys is 1. what is the make/serial numbers if poss of normal pads on the car front and back abd where can i get them cheap and roughly how much are they 2. can you guys give me a recommendation for better pads which will give me better feel and bite with make/serial numbers and where i can get them and rough price Edited April 6, 2009 by richie1985 Link to comment

Richie Cross
Hi mate, I spoke to Alyn at AS Performance and got Ferodo DS2500 pads for the front for £135 and pads he called OEM+ for the rear for £40. Alyn said the Ferodo were offered 25% more friction over standard the the OEM+ offered 10% more. With braided hoses, it does the job for me but I'm not a late braker! Link to comment
mystery machine
yeh mine is a newage m8 Aye, I know Richie - I was just implying that it might be a complaint more common with newage owners than with classic owners (as I've seen quite a few posts from newage owners on the topic).
