Just got home from Rolling Road & am well chuffed with my results

240.7 BHP & 235lb/ft torque

Boost is spot on for an unmapped car & Fuel/Air Ratio is good.

Few of the others there weren't so chuffed though esp. some of those with the fabled Prodrive packs

Great results there mate

The Prodrive Packs are rubbish, at the end of the day if someone came up to you and said I have mapped this chip so that you can get more power out of your car, without actually mapping the chip to the car itself on a dyno or on the open road would you fit it? I know I would not.

What was the highest run of the day mate?

Cheers Iain

I think it was a 361 (was 380 at zen apparently) but full results were being taken & will be published as well as fuels used

Well chuffed with my figures I was the only classic & everybody was well impressed with what she manged to do.

Chris was impressed as well, boost was steady as a rock at 0.9 bar & Fuel mixtures was spot on & in the right ballpark for a car that had been mapped let alone an untinkered beast.

Was a bit un-nerving at first seeing the car being worked hard whilst sitting still but hey its the first time I've heard the engine at full chat from outside the car.

Andy was great to meet you yesterday that is one spot on scooby you got there :crying:

oh days those boys with the ppp wrx's where not happy people  but as chris says a simple re-map will get running better, but one thing what was well funny was a standard wrx apart from a cat back exhaust and green panel filter beat the 2 ppp wrx's :crying:

look forward to meeting you all next sunday

As above the PPP is pants!

Doesn't do what it says on the tin. Far better off getting it all done seperate with different components.

That's a good figure walding 1 Bhp more than mine but -4 Torque. Hope a good day was had by all

Wow - really surprised about the PPP WRX's!! Best i put my money elsewhere then.................

Personally i would.

How much is the PPP for your Bug and what exactly do you get??

I'm sure you could achieve the same results with beer money left over. Plus it's not like using different parts will void your warranty as that's no doubt expired.

AFAIK PPP doesn't effect the warranty which is why a lot of people opt for it in the early stages of ownership.

Would be keen to know what you get at what price

Chris was quoting about £500 for a remap on Saturday, not sure what elsse you'd need to do to your car to get the best from it ?

I've got the following on mine

Filter Upgrade & Resonator box removal

Centre Cat removed & replaced with Straight through Pipe

Magnex Back Box

Next for me is Walbro Uprated Fuel Pump ( About £80)

Then save pennies for a remap
