~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Anyone got any experience with the iphone and the application http://www.dynolicious.com/ ? Seems pretty ace on the face of it. I am hoping to use it @ KH to generate some jpegs of some laps to analyse braking points etc. Purely out of interest rather than trying to be smart and chase daft milliseconds I studied GPS at Uni so I have some reservations about the accuracy ( & hence precision) but we shall see. Half the battle is calibrating it and then making it secure on your dash when your pulling some "gee". Shall let you guys know my results but has anyone else got any experiences to date ? PocketDyno seems good too and is free Fully expect a reply from the resident techy bloke St3ph3n ! Cal
neill54 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 i have pocketdyno and im reserved sometimes in its accuracy at the mo my best run is 0-60 in 5.85 secs! and a torque figure of 600nm i wish neil
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 I shall do some rough tests and let you know my findings. Would be good to compare against a VBOX like evo mag use. CGS
colin_ross Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Don't think it's just the gps sensor it uses Ca. The ones I've heard of for the n95 uses the gps and the acelerometer too.
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 Just checked the website and indeed you are correct. I thought it used both but it seems it's just the accelerometers
st3ph3n Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Not downloaded it I'm afraid. I've got a G-Tech RR meter separetely that I bought a few years ago, so no need to play with this. Yet!
davey l wrx Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Haven't tried that one I have got Road Trip on mine though. Gives the MPG and tracks money spent on servicing etc. Works ok, only had one fill after it was set up and that was after the Moray drive last week and it says i got 26MPG, I was expecting a lot less after the drive so i obviously wasn't trying hard enough.
