scoobyit
2005 Blob 27000miles, jumps out of first when doing a quick move off... When I dial in more than 3500rpm and dump the clutch the car moves forward then jumps out of gear.... Not that I do this often, but was messing about one day to see what the optimum take off revs are, turns out between 3500-4000rpm Did it today as the roads are wet to see what it did and it kept jumping out Thing is the clutch feels fine and the gearbox feels brand new and nice and tight... Under normal hard acceleration in first from a junction it's fine... just when i dial in revs... Anyone know if this is normal for a scoob? or is this going to lead to more problems and should I get this looked at Thanks in advance Scott Link to comment
Jimmy321
My last car did this in 3rd, (2000 awd when it had about 20k on the clock). I would drop into 3rd and push it hard going up a steep hill i drove every day it would get to about 3k revs then the revs would climb but the car hardly increased in speed. I thought i was my imagination until it done the same on the motorway except this time it popped right out of 3rd to neutral. When i phoned the garage they told me to bring it in right away, turned out it needed a new 3rd gear. Link to comment
