JerryH Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 That's looking like the effort was worth it. Well played keeping it clean on the run up to Kinnoull

Still a fair amount up the top at the lookout point. Wish the kids had their sledges! I've got a Sonic Blue 'S' reg classic sport. Got it in Sept (1st Scoob) as a project for after winter, so it's not looking it's best but means I can have a bit of fun if we get any more snow and not be too worried. I'll give you a flash and a wave if I see you.

I use auto glym ultra deep shine, and extra gloss protection when the weathers better since it has to be left on for half an hour or so. meguires waxes as well. soon as the salt stops i'll clay the car to get all the crap off. If you have a dark colour paint then highly recommend the ultra deep shine, night and day difference.

mystery machine Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Anyone who's up for car valeting in these temperatures shows some serious dedication - great work Do you find that the birds tend to keich on yours after you've cleaned it? (I'm talking about the kind of 'bird' that flies BTW, no' the kind that spends most of her waking life thinking about buying shoes and couches ).
RS Grant Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Looks good, can't believe what a difference the Prodrive Style bits make over a standard Bugeye. Cheers, Grant
scooby-22 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Tasty, very nice looking car mate, them wheels are so sexy

stubaroo Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Job well done there and a very nice bug if I don't say so myself.
colzo Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Looking good mate. Just remember the AG stuff fills and masks the swirls and scratches rather than removing them.
C_WRX Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Was just thinking same as Colzo there prior to reading his reply about AG covering over. No big issue just an FYI (some may see it as a plus ). Used to use Wertstatt Acrylic on my black Scoob, in some ways prefer it to the blackfire I now use, and it always brought up the colour brilliantly - plus the gold speckle popped in sun light oh so nicely. Very easily topped up too. At this time of year even washing it is a chore so good on you giving it the polish treatment.
