weedman Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Newbie saying hi! I’ve lurked here for a while, but now I’m onto my second Scooby (damn things are addictive) thought I’d join the club. I know you normally ask newbies for a pic, so here's a couple: You know you drive an Impreza when... You drive round to the corner shop for a packet of fags and take the long way home. You don’t take the motorway because that B road looks much more interesting. You stop at the traffic lights and just have to check your reflection in the shop window. You smile when you turn the key and hear the burble. You grin when you make progress up the motorway slip road. You laugh out loud when you nail a second gear hairpin to perfection. You go out for a drive just to go out for a drive. You never ever look at the digits of the pump display when you’re filling up. You wave at complete strangers – and they wave back. I’m sure you’ve got your own...
RS Grant Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 GB270 Wagon.... drooooool. Lovely car, welcome to the club. Cheers, Grant
GJLATZ Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Welcome, Cracking 270, and I'd agree with everything you've said.
paul555sti Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Welcome to the club. I just waved to somebody in stirling the other day with the same style wagon, very nice.
mystery machine Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Hello and welcome to the forum - braw wagon You know you drive an Impreza when...You drive round to the corner shop for a packet of fags and take the long way home. I'll go with all of those, apart from the one about checking the reflection in shop windows. Don't get me wrong, the car looks good in the reflection, but then I catch sight of my own ugly dip...

weedman Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 Thanks for the welcomes - hope I'll see you at a meet or a run at some point. Richie - no plans. I'm a mechanical illiterate and 266bhp and 310lb ft is enough for an old duffer like me! Hi Gav - thought you'd spot the post. Car is just great, and I'm really enjoying it. (That'll be another satisfied customer then...)
eck Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Welcome and a very nice wagon to boot. Almost went for one of these myself when i got rid of my bugeye wagon but ended up with a wr1 instead, never mind sh!t happens
RS Grant Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 ...266bhp and 310lb ft is enough for an old duffer like me! Regardless of the members age, we see this sort of thing said all the time mate... however 2, 6, 12 or 18 months down the line, you'll put that statement to the test. Cheers, Grant
