col666 Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Can somebody tell me where the seat belt buzzer is located? I always wear my seltbelt on the road but on occasion I take it off when parking or on private ground (also fitting harnesses) and the buzzer is driving me insane....i know when I'm not wearing it I dont need a bloody annoying ding ding to tell me!! At a guess its under the dash around about the steering column? I dont fancy driving along at 20mph while trying to dismantle the dash to find it! Cheers.
oobster Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Best just nipping into a scrappie Col and cutting a buckle out of the cars. Probably get one for a fiver and saves rooting around under the dash.

Yeah I thought of that but then I will have to search about for the buckle if I have had the seatbelt on prior to this, I'l only be using harnesses when having a spirited drive.
st3ph3n Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 What did JW end up doing when he got his new seats etc? I think you can pull the buzzer cable underneath the seat or something.
scoobykev Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 If you'd bought the classic you were looking at, you wouldn't be having this problem
RS Grant Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 (edited) Ah, but if he'd got the classic then he wouldn't have got to enjoy the knocking rear shocks........ Cheers, Grant Edited January 7, 2009 by RS Grant

Cheers, Grant good point, however he could have saved himself a trip to the paintshop if he'd bought a classic, due to them having a lower front wing line
thewelsho Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 What did JW end up doing when he got his new seats etc? I think you can pull the buzzer cable underneath the seat or something. I did indeed. There are two connectors under the seat, the larger on is the airbag sensor feed. The one you want is tied under the seat and not lying on the carpet, might be tough to get at it though; take the seat up to make it easy access. Ten min job.
