Guest Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 cheapest 08 sti or what on ebay Item number: 160307770086 check it out .billy http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ries%26_fvi%3D1 link fixed for ya and very cheap the market has collapsed one of my mates sisters got her brand new Vectra SRI last week for 7500 and they are selling brand new Ford Ka's for 4995 on the road

RS Grant Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 That IS cheap. Wonder what he got offered by a Dealer to take it off his hands if he's still trying to sell it for 16.5k?! Cheers, Grant
rallyfever Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Hi All, I got offered £6,000 for my 2004 Sti with all the juicy bits on in against a trade in for a Range Rover Vogue - boo hoo!!! Just need to keep my pride and joy for now I think. Cheers Gary
Maxxed_Ross Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 why on earth would you buy a car like that then sell it so soon afterwards? The drop in value over such a short time will be killer The bottom has totally fallen out of the trade in market recently. You just need to look and Galss or Parkers to see the huge difference next to a few months back. If you're gonna buy a house or top end car now is the time to do it!
hosstheboss Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 My mate took a job overseas and sold his 58 plate STi with 5K miles on the clock for £17K.............boy was he sick!
oobster Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Is this the one from down south that got paint stripper all over it earlier this year? Probably not, but it might explain the reason for the cheapness.
Spaceman Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 funny for some reason i thought it was that very one too and hence the price as it will have a record id buy it tho as it should be a minter
oobster Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Just checked - the paintstripper one was SC08 BYP & the one on the ebay add is GF08 SVC so not the same one then.
sandycam Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 any idea if theres any more sri deals like that?
RS Grant Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Would have thought a wee call to Arnold Shark or Peter Vardy would let you know what they could do you on a new Vectra... I'd assume these sorts of deals would run on until the stock was at an acceptable level, specially as the new model is out soon and is meant to be a belter. Think its called Insignia, something like that anyway!? Cheers, Grant
Typer666 Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Great if your buying, nightmare is your selling... what a price!

And that is before you start negotiating. Fantastic time to buy any motor if you don't have anything to trade or sell.
