stuarted Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Afternoon everyone, that time of year again. Got a fairly heavily modded P1 and I do track days. With Highway through Greenlight Insurance at the mo. Tried - Adrian Flux - no joy Keith Michaels - can only match Greenlights price A Plan - waiting on them getting back to me. Anyone else had good service/price/cover from anyone else? Thanks in advance. Stuart
thefastone Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Well ive just done mines, and to be honest, I just went with Keith Michaels... but I got a quote from A-plan first, and they came in at the same price as last years insureance, from KM, called KM and they just matched the quote... so I just stuck with them... I did have really good quotes from Direct line and privilidge, but then as soon as they heard the word "modifications" it jumped RIGHT up... and I wouldn't imagine that they do like for like on mods Like KM or A-Plan...
StrikE Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 £289 fully comp with Privilege insurance on my classic........but i am an auld git Sometimes the performance dedicated insurance companies are not the best deal, i find that a lot!!
scoobzie Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 (edited) rac m8 i,am 28 with a classic 329 quid i done it online get a quote through moneysupermarket thats what i did and can,t beat the price Edited October 14, 2008 by scoobzie
stuarted Posted October 14, 2008 Author Posted October 14, 2008 I've got an A4 page list of mods that I need to declare so the multi nationals won't touch me. I actually work in the industry so fully aware of what can go wrong if you "forget" to mention something! Seems Greenlight with Highway Insurance are the only ones with a built in track day section so unless A Plan come back with something dramatically cheaper than the renewal i'll be sticking with them. £50 for each track day aint too bad with double the excess. Just want the premium down a bit, well a big bit! Cheers for the replies so far....
dipsy Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 Mines with Privelege been with them 7 years got a renewal qoute from them £630 pound for 5 years ncb and ncb protected on a 05 Jdm Sti.Phoned them up and moaned got put threw to another department and insurnace is now down to £567 pound so if you don't ask you don't get .Never tried this before with insurance company i am with

StrikE Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 all mods declared? What mods? .... i was a punk as a kid
iain01 Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 APlan were cheapest for me with mods, Keith Michaels came close but Greenlight were about £70 more. Initial impressions with Aplan good, but can't say any more as its the first time I've used them.
scoobysailor Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 What mods? .... i was a punk as a kid You must be a REALLY old git.........I had a vespa!!
stuarted Posted October 15, 2008 Author Posted October 15, 2008 A-Plan came back the cheapest without track cover. Decision now is whether to pay an extra £100 a year plus £50 for every track day I do or just take a risk on track. Mmmmmm!
