Frank_STI Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 (edited) Started this at about 11.30pm after doing the evo and a punto, only time i get to do the scoob lol Spent about 2 hours on it - Wheels APC'd and the car snow foamed with a mix of SSF and Gold Class - Rinsed then dry'd with drying towel and Megs LT - Once the car was dry, Megs #7 Show glaze was applied by hand then spread evenly with rotary and finshing pad - Finished off with CG's Wet Wet Wet Wax Who says you can't get reflections on silver ;-) - In the morning before heading out, the scoob was wiped down with last touch then another coat of wet wet wet wax applied. All tucked up after a busy day at Loudoun Castle New splitter arrived this morning too so that will be my plans for tonight sorted Edited June 18, 2008 by Frank_STI

Frank_STI Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 (edited) no offense m8 but, god how much of these threads do we need Sorry mate bored at work, and as said I ain't making you read them There was a good few other Subarus there at Loudoun on sunday, any from on here?? thewelsho Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 no offense m8 but, god how much of these threads do we need Bit harsh Dunc, however, it does raise a good point in that perhaps we should have a dedicated forum for it like the "Was It You" forum. It could be called "Detailing" or something. Maybe doing that will start to fragment things too much, but in the same respect there is a lot of posts from many members showing off clean cars (which I like ) so it might be an option. Car is looking good BTW.
scoobyiain Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Keep up the great work Frank, i love threads like this

Top work again Frank ! Not a bad suggestion about the "Detailing Forum" tho as then I MIGHT just be able to see WTF I should get for doing the job myself! Too many products out there to confuse me
andy Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Not a bad suggestion about the "Detailing Forum" Only if we also have a "Clarty as f***" Forum for people like me
gus the bus Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Only if we also have a "Clarty as f***" Forum for people like me I take it your talking about your car Andy
sczscoob Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Got to agree, we all spend enough money on them. Why not show off our pride & joys when there looking there best. No Clarty forums tho' cause i'll get annoyed trying to cleaning them all!!!
RA Dunk Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 and as said I ain't making you read them isnt there some kind of detailing forum you lot could use?
RA Dunk Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Bit harsh Dunc, nope somebody else mentioned this the other night in SIDC live chat they were bored to death of all these two buckets and a dishwasher threads, so its not only me however, it does raise a good point in that perhaps we should have a dedicated forum for it like the "Was It You" forum. It could be called "Detailing" or something. bloody good point keep all this stuff in there
braveheart Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 It would be nice to have a forum for detailing however theres not at this moment, not that i have seen, ill be posting more pics up im affraid when the white lightning will be finished at this stage, with the engine all painted i dont spend Thousandsssssssss, not to show any one i thought that was the point to show our pride and joys ... My oppinion ... Regards Chris.
scoobyiain Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I'm tired of reading about "what wheels" or "been to see andy f" threads etc etc but do i moan? No! i just don't read them. Some people buy subaru's to tune them and others just because they like them. There is not that many cleaning threads on here so i don't see the problem. If people are bored of them don't read them or complain to admin and ask for it to be deleted

Frank_STI Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 was this thread aimed at you? havent you got a BMW forum to bore people on? Jesus, you are grumpy today!
scoobyiain Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 was this thread aimed at you? havent you got a BMW forum to bore people on? Just putting in my 2p worth like you do in so many threads. Sorry if i don't drive a subaru anymore, does this mean i cannot post here?
st3ph3n Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 There's too many toys out of the pram threads for my liking!
RA Dunk Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 There's too many toys out of the pram threads for my liking! no offense m8 but, there wasnt any offence intended by my post till some others took it upon them selfs to make an issue out of it stephen
st3ph3n Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Yes, but we all (and I'm sure I've been guilty of this too) have the great ability to make a drama out of nothing.
C_WRX Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Nice work Frank. Perhaps I'm bias cause I'm one of the many (I think!?) that enjoy reading about folks detailing exploits. I thought this was a general forum for all to enjoy all Subaru topics, ask questions and show off their cars...whether it be new wheels / new turbo / new suspension / hours cleaning your pride & joy / etc etc etc. Share info with everyone and swap tips of all kinds. Isn't it ? Keep em coming !
