That boy Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Looking for some help here guys. I went out for a wee blast today and when I came back and was washing the car I found that a bit had fallen off. Its the small plate at the back above my number plate (well thats the best way I can describe it,) Im sure there will be a proper name and part number so if anyone can help then please tell me what its called and where I can get it. I have taken a picture to try and explain whats missing lol. I know it doesnt effect the car in any way other than looks but I want another one. So if any one knows where I can get one please let me know. Cheeers Stu Ah well I cant even load the picture of it doh. Its the small panel above a mumber plate that would be removed to allow someone to take their plate off, its betwenn the number plate and the light that would light up the number plate. (argh describing it is a nightmare).. what a day am having...

karps Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Nowt to worry about, you haven't lost anything, all cars are like that for some reason. im sure that someone on here will know why
That boy Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 Mine was def there before.... Could it be maybe others have went missing or fallen off too?
neill54 Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 the gap is meant for the import style no plate to fit im sure neil
scouk Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Pretty sure it's a standard "feature" and not just imports. My UK Bugeye WRX has the gap too.. Always wondered if somethign was missing but every other impreza seems to have the same thing so figured it was normal.. No idea about the reason.. Some silly aerodynamic reason!
thewelsho Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 No idea about the reason.. Some silly aerodynamic reason! Na, I'd say more like shabby workmanship/design or perhaps its left open as an access point to something.
scouk Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 (edited) perhaps its left open as an access point to something. Mud and general road carp Edited June 5, 2008 by ScoUK
superstar_tradesman Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 the gap is meant for the import style no plate to fit im sureneil Correct
colzo Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Is your number plate stuck on with sticky pads? The reason I asked this as there is a black plate behind the bumper where the number plate can be attached with plastic bolts. As for the gap I've owned 4 Scoobs (3 from new) and there has always been that gap.
meeky Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 the gap is there so as to allow you to change number plate bulbs
