st3ph3n Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Yes, that looks great with the green wheels. Welcome to the forums.
scoobyiain Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 if you want your wheels green then go ahead and paint them that colour, never listen to or care what anyone else says. It's you thats driving it. I should maybe listen to my own advice there and start detailing cars again
C_WRX Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Nice lookin car you have there. A front splitter eh...bets as to how long it'll last seeing how low it is already !? De-tango by the way.
nkwrx Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Hi mate, welcome aboard! it's already been said but that there is soooper low!
cullenmin Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 Welcome to the forums mate, very nice car you got there Rich
Frank_STI Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 Cheers guys Great warm welcome!! I'm unsure about the green tbh, i'll probs play it safe and paint them grafite or something similar. The splitter that is on it just now is bust and that was from running it at the standard height

I busted a front splitter too and have since decided that I wont be replacing it, but it does make a great addition to the front. Looks kinda weird without it now.

oobster Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Not to keen on the green wheels but I agree a wee colour-change for the wheels would improve the look of the car. How about bronze?

How about bronze? Hmmmm not sure about bronze myself, chances are I'll paint them dark grey just as a gap filler till I get compomotive mo's Where did you get your splitters and side skirts btw??
scoobyiain Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 6 spoke comp mo's would look sweet on your car. Loved them on my RS
Boydie. Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Didn't happen to own a DC5 previously did you? Cars looking good man.

Front splitter came from Scott Lowe, side-skirts are the standard WRX ones which have been painted. The roof spoiler came from Revolution in Gateshead - they are made by a company called Lester in Italy.

Boydie. Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Frank_STI said: Yes I did Swapped it for the Impreza Nice one. I started going to HTUK meets just as you swapped the DC5 for the scooby i think. How does it compare to the DC5? Aside from the power difference?

Aside from the power difference? Difference in fuel, scooby is a good bit more thursty DC5 interior was nicer and the recaros are better than the STI seats. Scoob is more fun to drive, steering is better, brakes are better, handles better (especially now with the teins) scoob gets huge flames out the exhaust
scooby222 Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 hi there fine example of the best post classic impreza! tho i may be biased! compomotives would look great and consider bronze, its actually much darker than youd think, closer to anthracite than gold- have a look for my threads with pics of my new rays in bronze, just love them! howd you find the ride/handling with the teins? that may be my next stop once the credit card recovers from the last beating lol! saw your teg for sale when i was looking for one for my gf,nice car too,got to say i prefer the steering and handling(dry) of the teg but it came with teins-but deffo doesnt do the flames/bangs/pops of the scoob! o and try ht autos on ebay for a splitter, make them an offer of 100 plus postage and should go through ok,also as its pu plastic it flexes a lot more than the other ones-as my bin can testify!
Frank_STI Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 My teins still need a bit of adjustment as they are a bit "bouncey" at the moment of uneven roads but on a smooth road they are unreal, needing to get harnesses due to the rate it can go round corners!! DC5 was definately more "chuckable" round the back road due to it being light and nimble but still think the scoob would be pushing it round the road and on any long sweeping bends the scoob would pass it on the outside New 3" exhaust system is on and my car is now nice and quiet but goes nuts on boost
