Boxer23 Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Nick, I've got no e-mails mate? You got the right address? I can get up to Douglas tonight if you want a hand. I'd take the thermo off and test it anyway to check it is working at the right temp just for peace of mind. Radiator definately not clogged up anywhere?
Cret Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Yeah dude, I want to remove the thermostat to rule it out of the equation, although I suppose I'll only have the same problem when I drain it to refit it again. Doh! Rad doesn't seem to be blocked as I could blow through it fine before it went in. Not sweet!
dooahhdoo Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 I sent one to your hotmail address [neiltheknuckle23@hotmail.com] Obviously I have edited the address so you dont get spammed to death but you get the drift dude Morning dudes Tooth out in 2 days
Boxer23 Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 No mate, didn't get the mail. Strange. Send it again. How is everyone today?
heazille Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Afternoon Dudes Fine (ish) How de stranger, how long u back on the rock for Ta Ta Richard Still Scoobyless on Scooby Island (178 DAYS)
Boxer23 Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Not too long, just to get lots of money together as it has been a bit hectic in Stockport and we need to get house-hunting fast. Much happening in Scooby Island?
CustomScoobyIOM Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 Jim you need to repair that rad I gave ya bud. The bit at the top DOES need to flow properly otherwise it will overheat. Same problem with that one as when I took it out it was doing the same thing. New rad in and it solved it Will search for another one for you. Little fluckers Neil, sorry to hear that mate
Cret Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Ahh I see! Then I shall get a pipe into it one way or another mate! Guess that's where that screw was then dude? I figured that was just screwed into a broken bit and that there was no pipe seeing as it has to cap on the rad either. I will get to work when I find a suitable piece to tap into it.... Much obliged for this rad matey.
Boxer23 Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 See Jim, we were right after all. Not get that expoxy resin on the job!! Nice to hear from you again Jon. Sweet holiday, dudes?
Cret Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Yep! Need to find something like a hollow bolt , or some sort of threaded pipe I can screw into the plastic and the water can come out through...... OR! Just thought, I could take the good end tank and put it on my rad that has the bits there already. Anyone ever removed/refitted an end tank on a rad? It LOOKS quite easy.....

Cret Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Morning dudes! Me? Why would you possibly think that'd be me matey? Yes it was. Will pull out the rad again this evening and try getting some means of attaching that pipe to it, then if it works I'll head down to Mrs D's scooby surgery and pick up the 'merchandise' for you Andi!
Boxer23 Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 A trip to the HQ down in Ballabeg!! Sounds exciting. It must be serious at the unoffical Manx SIDC hideout! Have you figured out how to 'glue' on some piping to the side of the radiator then?

Cret Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 << Hey el dudios!!! Yep hol was top good relaxing and lots of el beerio Rad end tank easy peasy Jim I think off top of my head >> Glad you had a good hol mate. It looks a matter of unprising the metal tabs, swapping the tank then prising them closed again but I'm not sure if I'll get a good enough seal reassembling it by hand. Will try option A of repairing the broken pipe bit first I think just in case & leave end tank swapping as a last resort! << Oh dudes got £18k to spend on car. Selling SLK. Ideas? MUST NOT BE JAP though. >> How come not Jap mate? If you look around you might just find a ferrari 308 for that money!
Boxer23 Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Jon, I'll be in so give us a bell if you like. SIM card is UK one so can't text over here. Glad you had a good holiday.
