Satans mother Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Really sorry to hear about your cat hun! And sorry you've had such a bad time of it with BC lately as well! Got our car back today after they sorted the rear wheel bearing - which luckily for us was under warrenty - but then the ****** handed us a bill for £75!! I was kinda like, wow hold on there - its covered, we don't have to pay a penny - but it turns out it's because they took over an hour to remove the locking wheel nut! Can you believe it???? Even johns started to say now that we won't be getting another scooby again That garage really is taking the piss in a big big way! xDx Hmmmm, good customer service Again from bc I would suggest you write direct to subaru uk customer services, if there trained subaru mechanic (is he still there?[]) could not do the job in the allowed time, tough thats there fault. Think i will stick with Holdsworth @ wigan Ta Ta Richard Done a lovely long letter to Subaru, including the fact that when himself went to pick the car up it was round the back unlocked with the keys in it and they didn't even ask his name............class
Cret Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 but it turns out it's because they took over an hour to remove the locking wheel nut! Can you believe it???? That's absolutely staggering! Even if it's in a bad state for whatever reason it still would not even take ten minutes to remove one of those (and I've had to do some nuisance ones in my time). The person doing that job must be incompetent to take so long and I would be speaking to trading standards if they had given me that excuse. How they can justify the amounts they charge when they can't do such a simple job (allegedly!) is beyond me. Another reason why I hate garages and don't trust them at all. Plus recently I had to take my mum's 206 to a certain european car dealer to get the boot lock fixed. The night before I took it down, I tested the lock solenoid with power directly and it worked fine, but no power was coming through the wires to it so I told them the solenoid was fine and it was probably a fuse etc as no power was getting through to it (didn't have time to look for the fuses & relays). When I picked it up they had replaced the solenoid saying that was all that was wrong with it, and when I asked for the old one back it strangely wasn't available.... Dubious! Don't think I could prove anything though unfortunately. I wish in hindsight that I had discretely marked the parts beforehand.[^o)]
Johnuk300 Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I was at work when BC phoned me to tell me that they could not get the locking wheel nut off, and that I had done them up with an air gun. I told them that I only used a brakerbar soket set an torkwench as that I do not have a compresser. I then went on to say that I was willing to pop over there and get the wheel off for them but she just said that they will phne me to let me know how they got on. The only phone call that I got was that the car was ready for me to pick up 1 1/2 days latter, when I got to BC then presented me with a bill for taken the locking wheel nut off. This made me so mad that I just walked out of BC and have since told the wife that we wont be getting another scooby.
Cret Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I was at work when BC phoned me to tell me that they could not get the locking wheel nut off, and that I had done them up with an air gun. Well even if that had been the case it's no reason why they wouldn't be able to easily remove it again either by hand or with an impact gun. Still no excuse I'd have thought and I can understand why you're so annoyed! Glad I don't have to go to these places.
missey_d Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 We'll I've written a nice snotty letter to Subaru and I'm CC'ing it to BC himself. I wonder what would happen if I CC it to SIDC as well!!!! Would put the frightners up his wouldn't it!! xDx

cupradave Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 DUDES !!!! How goes it Manxies? You have all been very quiet lately, feel like I am the only one here. My new brakes arrived yesterday and they look mahooosive, except their not really, well they are, that is compared to what is on my Scoob just now LOL. So desperate to get them on, all I can say is roll on next pay day (no money left this month [:'(] ) and it will be a set of lurvely Goodridge hoses and some pads. We are now at the end of Wednesday so only a couple of days left til the big pour, just hope the rain holds off just long enough for us to get the concrete down without getting totally soaked but for those coming to help out Saturday remember to bring waterproofs or a change of clothes just in case.

heazille Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Evening Dudeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss We is Back on the rock after a fab weekend in Barcelona, won't miss the traffic though[ And the case's are still there we think!![] First time we have used BAFly or whatever they are called this week to Gatwick South Terminal Absolutley CCCCCRRRRRR@@@@@@@pppppp, Takes an hour to get through the gates, not like North terminal (as in BA times) and is a nightmare Once again we Manxies get stuffed by the Airlines, The only choice for London now is to London City but that does not help for onward travel Maybe it's time to just use ferries and drive to destinations instead, least we would still have our bags when we get home then!![:@]. Of Topic, but where you guys meeting tommorow? Ta Ta Richard
