enCrypt Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 << Morning dudes I'm off upto the trackday tomorrow with a mate in his Pug 306 Rallye. Should be fun >> You mean the one that looked a bit 'flat' once he'd finished with it?!
Jimmy Mc Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 << << Morning dudes I'm off upto the trackday tomorrow with a mate in his Pug 306 Rallye. No chance of it happening if your car stays in the car park though
Jimmy Mc Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 He went into Snuffies too fast near the end of the day, went off the track to the lefthand side, came back across to the right onto the grass and went sideways into the tyre wall. The car then flipped onto it's roof on the tyres. He's ok though, few cuts from broken glass, whiplash and some bruising. He was lucky it hit passenger side on as that side of the car was destroyed (and I was also lucky to get out a few laps before to take some pictures). Hence why comments about "flat" peugeots etc aren't funny. Especially from people who would rather stand around and spectate than participate.

I was only pissing about man, no need for that FFS! I do think he was very lucky and its a crying shame to see any car like that. Ive loved cars all my life, I was brought up with Motorsport in my veins thanks to my dad (who incidentally is now the clerk of the course up there on track days) I have been involved with rallies, marshalling and timekeeping etc for years so please dont think I dont give a sh1t! I would dearly love to have a go myself, but... A. I freely admit my driving skills wouldnt be upto it B. I have worked hard to afford my pride and joy and would be devastated if I even got so much of a scratch on my it etc... C. Knowing me I'd probably get the 'red mist' on instantly and make a complete mess of the car/myself/other people etc! Apologies for the flippant remark, but I was merely trying to make a dark situation a little lighter! Err dudes!
Cret Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Jimmy - was going to say mate I think that was a tad harsh. Don't for a second think that Mark would be taking the piss out of a situation like that. After all he had a shocked smiley on the post not a lmao smiley or anything. I know it's a who-err when someone you know's car gets pranged but I don't think anyone on here would be laughing about it as we're all rather fond of our cars.
andy_bray Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Good morning all... Mark hows is your dad Kenny ?, I hope he is well dude.... Off to London on Thursday to see the missus in hospital...Not looking forward to the plane flight though.....

graeme_stuart Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Afternoon dudes! I have just had my old man over for a long weekend, and i have been driving around in his 1.6 ford focus. (it wasn`t that bad, it was better than the last car he had). Got to drive on roads that i wont take mine on, it was covered in cr*p after i had finished with it.. It saved me a fortune on petrol, and forgot what it was like to do so many miles on £20 quids worth of juice. Missed the fun of driving the scooby, i don`t care how thirsty it is.
andy_bray Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 << Morning dudes! Hope the Mrs is well Andi. >> Thanx Jim dude, Things are going good but it is going to take her along time to get better if at all...
