Dave K Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Mornin dudes. Seen the white wrx on Doug prom yesterday.
Cret Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 What is it with this bloody forum and not being able to see new posts?! Grrr! I think it must be when they go onto a new page or something but I can always see when someone has added a post but not actually read it until more posts are added afterwards.
Cret Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Just had to write that post to get this page visible. What a PITA!
Dave K Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I have noticed this of late as well it is a PITA. Do you think it's due to the size of the thread, is it time to start a fresh?
Dave K Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 A few pics from the Kingsmead Rally. Not very good but pics none the less, should have a new camera and some proper glass soon though. Kingsmead Rally 1 Kingsmead Rally 2 Kingsmead Rally 3 Kingsmead Rally 4 Kingsmead Rally 5 Kingsmead Rally 6 Kingsmead Rally 7 Kingsmead Rally 8 Kingsmead Rally 9

Did not have the camera handy...LOL I will send you a PM with the Eos 350d cameras web site.. I went down to Tynwald mills for a cup of tea and the was a lovely 22B scooby down there Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet..
andrew_field Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I have noticed problems with the forum aswell. But if you notice a new message and it will not display, change the page number in your browers bar. ie at the top at the mo, the address is http://bbs.sidc.co.uk/messagepost.cfm?post...parentid=540481 but if you cannot get to the next page when it appears change STARTPAGE=265 to STARTPAGE=266 This has worked for me in the past.
Cret Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Morning dudes. Knackered today and 8 & a half hours chopping up my car for the intercooler!
graeme_stuart Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Afternoon dudes!! make it stop raining.at least for 2 days in row
andy_bray Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Yes Graeme it has been bad weather bud and you are off as well , It is ment to get better Thursday onwards but cold.. Seen Quiet Andy today as well , Have you sorted the over-heating probs on the scooby M8???? See you later dudes...
Cret Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Dave - can you give me the details again of who did your heat shield for you please mate? I think you said it was a guy at Lyte ladders old place unless I'm getting confused with someone else. Any idea what they're called so I can give them a buzz, as I think I'll have to get an alloy washer tank built as the standard one won't fit with the intercooler pipework.
andrew_field Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Weather seems to be constantly crap when I can go out and play. My flat mate tells me it is the traditional Manx Monsoon Season which normally lasts till easter. Have not sorted the overheating prob, it only seems to happen on long drives and well, I have not been on a long drive since getting back on the Island. Hopefully no work tomorrow and I can fit my strut braces and turbo timer.
andrew_field Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Morning dudes, typical, the weather is nice and I get called into work. Well suppose I am getting paid though.
Dave K Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 << Dave - can you give me the details again of who did your heat shield for you please mate? Saved me agro when doing mine, then let me know and I'll plot a modified one so he can just stick it to the sheet and cut. Have you got the sizes for each end of the dump valve pipe?
Dave K Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 << Hopefully no work tomorrow and I can fit my strut braces and turbo timer. >> And so begins the constant "You've left your car running mister!"
Cret Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Cheers dude. I managed to get it all hooked together (had to cut one of the alloy pipes though to get it to fit, ), and I got a bit of silicon from Glyn to bodge the dump valve for now. What it needs really is a piece with internal bore 1 inch at one end and 1.5" at the other if your mate is likely to have anything like that? Used 2 of the silicon pieces you gave me the other day so let me know what I owe you for those. Would have been stuffed without them!! Got my rattle gun too so hopefully I can get my pulleys done tonight now too.
