Ian hasnt got one? You will need to explain to him as he doesnt know what one is (I have been through it with him) Tell him its the mass airflow sensor which is a little black box with a thin wire in it on the cold air intake. Bet he can find you one as he has 2 imprezas face-icon-small-wink.gif

Edited to add cheers Jim dude face-icon-small-wink.gif sweeeeet face-icon-small-wink.gif

He's got one mate from that written off Impreza but the plastic that the pipes go on is broken so he said he's going to keep it as an emergency spare as it's not really worth selling it. Will have to find somewhere else to get one. Bah. face-icon-small-sad.gif

He was saying he's thinking about building an impreza rally car too.....

Andi - Ian has a couple of sets of 15" alloys apparently so you ought to give him a buzz mate.

MAF sensor Jim dude unplug it and try it.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! >>

Dude - that wouldn't show up if it's temperamental though would it? It works fine most of the time then throws a fit occasionally and makes the car cut out & not start etc. Can't think what on earth else could be wrong besides the maf & ignition relay and I've already changed the relay.

Another idea though, does the ecu only earth through its mounts where it bolts on? Am wondering if the nuts need tightening seeing as the ecu has been in & out several times maybe....

<< Aye good point. Might be worth giving a direct earth feed to the ecu from the battery?? >>

Our resident tart has done that face-icon-small-smile.gif

A good tip dude, but to be honest Iwas thinking more along the lines of actually tightening the ecu mount nuts a little beyond finger tight (cough)....

We are on the gulf stream here rasher dude so it has to be 'really' cold for it to snow face-icon-small-sad.gif

We had a large amount of hail 2 years ago that made the roads very slippery though which was cool face-icon-small-wink.gif

Yeah, just about matey.

Good work on the fags dude. That must be hella hard at this point but you're doing yourself a HUGE favour by packing them in!
