Virus On The Home Page ?

Hello all.

I have just got a new fresh pc and put new avg8.1 virus softwear on every time i go into the sidc home page.

My avg comes up and tells me there is a virus in my temp internet files.

If i do a scan its fine and if i use other web sites it fine .

It will only come up on the sidc home page. i am just letting you no.

Plz advise as i am not going to the home page any more.

I have also had this same problem - again using the latest AVG with the AVG Security Toolbar on.

Can't reproduce the problem every time though.

I just moved the virus to the Virus Vault.

obviously a issue AVG has with the home page then, i doubt with the ammount of experiance andy has with web building/design etc that theres any kind of virus, but i could be wrong

yes ..i've had probs too .. not got AVG but home page just freezes sometimes and have to reboot pc

I wouldn't bet on it. There is a massive outbreak of SQL injections going on at the moment. I've already had one site hit with a vulnerability in Coppermine Gallery. I don't run that here though and I'm seeing nothing in the front page code that explains people seeing warnings. I'm running AVG 8.1 with Virus DB Build 269.24.1/1466. According to AVG, that's bang up to date.

Even scanned it using the active scanner on Google and it came up with nothing.

Anything like that though, because they can and do happen, I would far prefer people contacted me directly by email or PM rather than posting on Forums where firstly it may go unnoticed for a time if there is genuine problem and secondly it prevents spreading what may be unneccessary panic.

yep ive had it as well with f-secure, the virus was renamed.
