Any sugestions guys?http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=114356 I think its more to do with the current climate mate; fuel prices, road tax, credit cruch etc. that is holding back your sale. I can't say if the car is incorrectly priced though as I have no idea about current market value for classics (or Newages really!). Link to comment
cullenmin
This is a cracking looking car you got there mate and if I were you then I would try and push for yer price. Remember though, its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'd have certinally been interested a couple of months ago before I bought my type R. Good luck mate Rich Link to comment
scoobyiain
Stunning car mate. The market is very slow at the moment, i had my newage up for sale for over a month and only had 1 guy interested in it. Sold it to him on monday night for less than i wanted for it too Link to comment

fraser87uk
Thanks for the support guys. Its well appreciated. I just had a guy drive up from England yesterday evening. We had agreed on a price on the phone after he saw tonnes of pictures and we talked a lot about it. We agreed a price of less than i wanted on the phone then when he got here he hummed and hawed for about an hour or so and then offered me £7k! Obvioulsy i was pissed off a touch. He said he had seen other 6's or similar spec for a lot less money. I was tempted to say, "why didnt you buy one of them then?" but i didnt and just bit my lip. A bit red faced i went back in and played some Dragon Force on guitar hero to relive the stress. Link to comment
fai17
You just need to hold them to the agreed figure m8 and i know it's hard trying to selling anything these days. Link to comment

sczscoob
If i could stash your Scoob into my other garage without the wife finding it & the missing money of course! I would be chapping your door for it. Hold out mate someone will buy it from you it looks a very clean, straight Scoob. Good luck! Link to comment
dan_jess
It looks a lovely car mate. Where all are you advertising the car? Link to comment

paul555sti
Pistonheads and here. Anywhere else that you can recommend? Have you got it on scoobynet? Link to comment
dan_jess
As Paul said, Scoobynet would be a good place aswell. You could try Ebay with just a buy it now advert, tho sometimes timewasters can make it more trouble than its worth. Ad trader is free so cant do any harm to stick it on there. Have you got for sale signs on the car? Sometimes you will be surprised how much it works. Some people might admire your car but not use these sites so dont no its for sale. Stick with it, if your in no rush to sell just enjoy the car until someone comes along. Link to comment

claudefrog
stunning car.. and all the right bits done to it. goodluck with the sale.. one of the few classics I would give a compliment to without it being a 22b or P1 Link to comment
ScoobySounds
autotrader gets a lot of exposure. I can guess why nobodys mentioned it, but in my experience it works. as suggested on another thread a cheap simcard would be a good thing to advertise your phone number, cos you tend also to get lots of exposure from overseas conmen. If i didn't already have my scoob i'd have it off you mate, its lovely. Link to comment
dan_jess
I didnt mention Autotrader because trying to sell a performance car on there can be a waste of £40 or whatever the trader charge now, because of websites like Pistonheads etc. I personally dont bother looking on Autotrader anymore Link to comment
RS Grant
Its priced at the high level of Classic prices... but it has a LOT of mods and money spent on it. The guy that viewed it is right, you can pick up a clean and decent V5 or V6 STi saloon for around 6-7k, but with the money spent on the mods your car has got then he'd be looking at spending 2-3k easy to buy and have them fitted to his 7k car. Problem is, as a lot of people know, you dont tend to get much/if any money back on mods you make to a car.. mileage, history and condition are still the biggest things people look at. IMO. Your suspension set-up looks awesome by the way.. bet it handles like its on rails with that lot. Its almost exactly what I'd throw at another Classic if I sell the Spec-G. Cheers, Grant Link to comment
