Welsho mate......glad I'm somebodys hero....might wear my pants on the outside tomorrow..... the discs were a bargain..well a bargain compared to the price I seen for some set ups.......after speaking to Jason at Scoobybits I opted for their own ones.......along with EBC Redstuff pads...again he recommended these as a good match to the discs...... as for the price.....set of discs.....£90....pads...£92....+Vat on both...so £228 all in....not bad eh....?? emoe Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 What are the issues with pushing the pistons in (on an abs car) without slackening the bleed nipples?I've always done it this way without any problems. there is an issue, and its not something that ALWAYS happens, but is more regular than you think, with ABS cars that when the fluid is pushed back through the ABS control unit under pressure it registers a fault and throws the ABS light up. Now this does not DAMAGE the ABS control unit just sets a fault. Its just a pain in the ass to turn the light off on some cars. Just speaking from years of experience!! By the way, when pushing the pistons back on NON ABS cars, dont go hell-for-leather with it, go slowly as too much pressure too fast CAN damage the primary piston seal in the master cylinder. Anyway, you got the car done mate, told you it was pretty easy!!! Looks nice too!!!
