dooahhdoo Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 No, ran out of money and cant justify sticking 850 on the credit card for 325mm brembos!!
Kristan Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 If you're desperate to find a car to play with at the weekend you can figure out why mine is stuttering so badly above 0.7 bar
Boxer23 Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Don't tell me it's something to do with your new chip? Installed it already?
Kristan Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Nah, was doing it ages ago, went away, now seems to have come back... Gonna try cleaning the boost solenoid and maybe the MAF. It feels more ignition related though. Think the previous owner probably had similar problems as it's had the coilpacks replaced by big external bosch ones and there engine is earthed straight back to the battery in about 5 different places.
Cret Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 At least you'll be able to rule out the coil pack & earth problems from the possibilities. Good luck with it anyway though! << Or why don't we just get a battered, clapped-out Supra RZ then take it round to the MEA warehouse, strip it down, Nick can do the computer designing bit on his fancy computer, we can then build up this mad orange twin-turbo Supra, Dave can put mad vinyl graphics on it, then we can chase little Jap guys on motorcross bikes round the streets of Onchan........... >> Don't you get bored of doing that kind of thing all the time anyway?
Boxer23 Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Ha ha ha, gives me something to do at the weekend so I can race in the small hours of the night against little Jap guys in Honda S2000s.
CustomScoobyIOM Posted February 4, 2004 Author Posted February 4, 2004 PMSL!!! Missed that quote!!! << f you're desperate to find a car to play with at the weekend you can figure out why mine is stuttering so badly above 0.7 bar >> Got a few ideas. Dont rule out the coil pack though.
Kristan Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 << then we can chase little Jap guys on motorcross bikes round the streets of Onchan........... >> Wouldn't be the first time I've done that Except being the isle of man, they were only on scooters, and their were only delivering food for the Jap guys
Boxer23 Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Did you have to whack one of them which the back of your car, then shoot the other one too? Gets sooo messy. Little b****** ate my prawn toast..........sod I had to get the Charger out of the garage!!
Kristan Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Blood all over the doors, I hate it! Gonna start painting "kill" markings down the side of the car to record how many of them I've got. Mmmm, prawn toast! God I'm hungry, that jammie wagon wheel only made me want food more!
Cret Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Mmmm, Tandoori chicken breast fillets - Rrrrrrrrrr! Ace! Spoke to a good mate of mine last night who's a mechanic and was telling me about all the scoob engines & aggro he's had with them the last 2 or 3 years. Good thing is he reckons they're really quite easy motors to install/remove once all the pipes & stuff are off the top of them. Think I can see his services being enlisted though.....
Boxer23 Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Just use Heinz ketchup this time instead of that nasty Daddies stuff which caused the engine damage last time!
