st3ph3n Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Was trying for the streaking car look. Kind of worked I suppose. Roll on next year!
jac Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Brilliant day out. Top respect to you guys, that hill looks very scary. My jaw hit the floor when i seen the rocket scream up the hill. Awesome car and aptly named. It was good chating to you and Arch, hope we didn't pester you too much. Didn't get any photos of you john, but got a few of Arch which i will post up. What were the results for the year ?
fai17 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Thanks for a wee lookie around your motor John and was nice to meet you and Archie. Car sounded immense and scray lol Do you run a screamer rather that a redump into downpipe?

JohnSt Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 (edited) EACC are running a track day at Kames in a couple of weeks. Pre-requisite for entering would mean you have to join EACC and have a helmet. Lots of peeps have expressed an interest in maybe giving Speedsport a try. Greig has been playing at Forrestburn and seem to like it (hasn't the balls for Doune it would appear though ) and Donald has sampled both Doune and Forrestburn, he seemed to like it A track day at Kames would be a great place to dip your toe in the water without any pressure. Much easier on your car than KH because of the relatively slow speed, but the sensation of speed is as much if not greater. Archies first event was there and he has subsequently over the course of the year managed to pedal a relatively low powered car round it in 91secs which is well impressive, I can think of only 3 other Saloon cars that have gone quicker, and they all have at least 100hp more to play with. Great time to do it to as it gives you all winter to play with car spec if you like it John Edited October 3, 2008 by JohnSt

jac Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 I went down to EACC on Thur night to join the club and have a look at testing, but it was closed. My car won't be ready in a few weeks or a would jump at the chance.

My car won't be ready in a few weeks or a would jump at the chance. There is a Sprint on at Kames today and tomorrow Greig, dates will be set next weekend at Committee meeting. You can prestty much bank on the fact that all the events will be the same weekends as they were this year transposed onto 2009. (The odd one might move). Closing date for entries is usually the Monday after the Sprint Practice day at Kames, so around March ---john---

I can think of a certain Nova that has been round in less than 91secs No disrespect to Archie, I just like to point out your mistakes John
