Which Exhaust?

Am wanting to release the scooby burble on the new car and wondered what the best option was. I don't want to touch the downpipe and don't want it too loud either so what are the options????

Do i keep the sti backbox and replace centre and cat pipe or do i go for meercat decat, centre and backbox or what other options are there?

The STI backbox looks quite nice.

To avoide the map your after a downpipe back setup with i believe is 3 pipes as standard on the hawkeye however most decat center pipes replace both the short cat pipe and center section.

where you would have had downpipe - cat - center - backbox you would be wanting downpipe - aftermarket center - aftermarket backbox

although i do stand to be corrected on this.

As a previous subaru owner you should know better! Bin the 'nice' sti box and get a proper exhaust system. Meercat gets good reviews on this site, I have a tsl system which gives a nice balance between noise and everday useability. I would recommend going to the next Glasgow meet - plenty of different exhausts, have a listen and talk to the owners and then decide what suits your needs.

Speak to Willie at Meercat and tell him exactly what you are after looks wise and sound wise and he can knock it up to your specifications.

I should know as i am on my third exhaust made by him (each one to different spec) and i cannot fault them in any way.
