mikeyb13 Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 NOTE TO SELF, "Find out how to work the switchable DCCD on your car before you try drive in the snow" I had my first hairy moment in my car last night well i fact the whole journey was hairy. It all started so well as i boasted to collegues at work that my new car had 4 wheel drive and the snow wouldnt be a problem. By the time I got home I seemed to have mastered the swedish flick or is that massive oversteer. Trouble was I travelling at a maximum of 20mph. I really had the technique sorted by the time i got back to the street where i live. I managed a whole 6 flicks and deftly(lol) avoided a number of more expensive neighbours cars and the lampost on the corner. Can someone advice me how to set it before I hurt myself at the moment it feels completely Rwd
RA Dunk Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 screw it forward to what ever setting you feel comfortable with, some people say it should be fully forward when in use in snow or gravel, i havent driven mine in the snow yet so cant fully advise

mikeyb13 Posted January 4, 2008 Author Posted January 4, 2008 yeh man putting it right forward will limit the drift effect. it will clunk a bit on the corners tho Thanks Guys. I have put it forward I cant believe the difference. Why will it get clunky in the corners? I take it its not advisable to use this setting all the time. Now I have to figure out what the settings in between do. I think that can wait till I have lots of space.
