thefastone Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 (edited) Hey guys! Aberdeen's Santa cruise is coming up, a week later than the rest of you, We were just out getting the last of the shopping this morning, and I believe that there should be a wee article in todays Evening Express (local paper) with more coverage to come! We have had a GREAT year this year, Having raised a fantastic £2000 in our first year!!! so we are always hoping to improve on that for next year, the planning for which has started in earnest already, with a fantastic donation to kick off 2008's fund by Mr Toad's Business of £200!!! And thanks to Craig mac, Ari (Kloon) and Simmie to name a few for making this happen along with the rest of the guys at Aberdeen Scoobies, they have done a lot of work this year to keep this going! As for the Santa Cruise were having ours next weekend, on SATURDAY 22nd DECEMBER Time should be about 12:30 ish, and the meeting point is as far as I know still to be decided... I or one of the others will update this shortly... everyone is welcome to attend, the more the merrier!!!!!!! Got a few pics from this morning... These and all the pics that I take from this years Santa Cruise should all go int the set here! Edited December 22, 2007 by thefastone
thefastone Posted December 15, 2007 Author Posted December 15, 2007 Oh and I forgot to say that , Aberdeen Sick kids hospital had their Nintendo Wii stolen this week... Some thieving lowlife scum actually stole from the sick kids hospital... we couldn't belive it when we heard the news... :D We had (courtesy of Simmie) a Nintendo Wii for the hospital already, although, today we managed to get the only one that Adsa had this morning, which was reserved for another customer - who never came to collect it, so not only have we replaced the Console that they had stolen, but we have bought them another one to go with it!!!
karps Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 Very well done to all you guys up in the granite city Noel

Really can't wait for next Saturday now, the pile of stuff we have stored is incredible, just shows what you can do with a little bit of effort. Thanks also to the Glasgow and Lothian folks for giving us the inspiration to get this off the ground, makes you proud to be part of the Scooby community.

thefastone Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 (edited) RIGHT FOLKS!!!! Details look to be Finalised now and are as Follows... SATURDAY 22nd DECEMBER 11am - DUTHIE PARK ALL SCOOBIES ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND - THE MORE THE MERRIER!!!!!!!!! Leaving Duthie park, and heading for town, running though Union Street and up to the Aberdeen Sick Kids Hospital at Forresterhill. Should be arriving at the Sick kids approx 12:30pm where we'll have a meet and greet and do the business! There will be press at the event, at least from the Aberdeen journals (and perhaps some TV coverage, although this is yet to be confirmed...) Also guys, a heads up, look out for tomorrows Evening Express, Should be an article in there tomorrow night, We had a photographer from the Aberdeen journals up tonight, and she took some nice pics! And also if you have it available, listen out for northsound 1 tomorrow(?), there should be an announcement about it on there at some point (Possibly during Greigsy's show) Please make an effort to decorate your cars if your coming, I've found Tinsel to be more difficult to find than it should be... might be an idea to find it sooner rather than later... Looking good guys! Edited December 19, 2007 by thefastone
