thewelsho Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Just got the car back from Dunc at Hypertech. Had the block honed out and new forged pistons dropped in. A few other goodies as well just to strengthen things up, like replacement shells, an uprated oil-pump to mention the main ones. Few other bits and bobs, but can't mind what they are. I have to keep it below 3k for the first 500 miles, then progressively load it upto 1000 miles. Somewhere in there I need to get it mapped for the VF34 and Sports-cat Downpipe as I set it back to standard. Just waiting on AndyF getting back to me for that one. Been a while since I have experinced the thrills of the Impreza and I cannot wait to let it rip again!
RS Grant Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Good to hear mate, which forgies did you go for?? Cheers, Grant

RS Grant Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Brilliant, bet you cant wait to get it back to full speed... and safe knowing that if you fancy a bit more power, a bigger turbo & a wee sniff of more boost isnt a problem as the internals can take it. Cheers, Grant
marky.t.s Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 nice one J.W,youll be finding plenty of excuses to get out and get some mileage on it then

I got a week and one track day out of the more serious mods, so here's hoping it will last a bit logner this time. Dunno when my map date is, just waiting on Andy getting back to me. When I mentioned it to him a while back he said he'd be able to squeeze me in somehwere since the map has already been done and its just a matter of copying it over. How come you have nothing exciting to do lately? I'd have thought most of your time would have been taken up working in your resturant, no?
