Speedy Posted November 29, 2007 Author Posted November 29, 2007 Yeah i know its a fun car but the point i was trying to say was that when i was taking it easy for the first 1,000 miles for the run in i was getting more miles and after the service i was going faster but wanted to see the differance with taking it easy and normal driving. A few tanks later now and its still not the same as before the service. Driving the same way as the run in time still aint getting me the same milage. My old 05 plate Impreza UK 300 got me to inverness and back on a tank and a half and it had the prodrive kit fitted.

How did u manage that?????????????? I had a full tank mind, did the run then made it to Aberdeen, probably 210 miles!! Very good in a small tank (50 litres) evo!

I drove to the manchester and back last year about 600 miles round trip and it cost about 150 quid although i did do the 600 miles in 8 hours still though i never realised imprezas were that economical. Anybody want to buy a VR6 golf That was my reason for trading in an S6 Avant for the scoob, the scoob was going to be better fuel economy... best I ever got in the Audi (4.2 V8) was about 30mpg, but I had to drive it so slowly/lightfooted to get that... generally it was 20mpg or less on the normal daily drive... added to which I got 250-odd miles out of a tank that cost £60+ to fill (84 litre tank )
Speedy Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 Just filled up got 212miles from full tank to warning light. Thats poor and again was driving like a granny lol was sure that before service i was gettin more like the 250. in the 05 Uk300 PPP i had before that i got upto elgin and comeuted for a week (60miles) and back to glasgow on a tank and a half thats racing up there and moderate to heavy foot driving through the week.
scientific steve Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 (edited) i get about 200 ish on my type R but at my last track day at knockers i managed to get 48 miles to 3/4 of a tank had to fill up a total of 4 times that day due to the fuel used going there, used on track and going back home also, heading back from perth the other day i HAD to use the shell station before dundee as i was on fumes ( had to coast the last 200 yards as the car was cutting out ) filled up and spent wait for it 68 pounds almost shat myself Edited December 4, 2007 by scientific steve
