Swear Filter

Strictly this is off topic, I know, but as this was raised last night I promised I'd do something about it.

I did explain that the swear filter was a last minute panic as I forgot about it when the new site went live. I found an import file and applied it. I just didn't realise it came from tellytubbies.com! I've now been through it pretty ruthlessly and as a result, it has gone from over 150 entries to 35.

Of those 35 entries left, 15 are converting various personal message notifications to "I touch goats"

The 20 entries remaining after the "I touch goats" lot are mostly permutations of the same 3 or 4 obvious words. One begins with C, one beings with S, one begins with B and one begins with W. I don't treat bugger as a swear word.

It was quite an amusing process deleting all the crap. I think whoever wrote it had a breast aversion as bosom, melons, nipples, tatas, bazongas, tits and titties were all in there. Some of the most amusing ones were "fur pie", "making whoopie", "pocket pool" and "porch monkey" (WTF is a porch monkey anyway?)

Hopefully that knocks the filter issue on the head
