Bit sad really, having previously been in praise of the service from there i think it is only fair to share the bad with the good.

Went in almost a month ago for them to assess the rear struts under my proven warrenty. Paid for the inspection time and was promised a call back the next day once the paperwork had gone through as they do need doing.

A week went by so i called in with the warrenty card (which i didn't have with me at the time) so they could take a copy and get the policy number in case there was an issue. A sales guy took the copy and put it on the desk with a note to call me first thing on monday.

Still no call.

I called back a week later and was promised (again) they'd be back to me first thing monday - shock horror still no call so it looks like i need to ring and chase them again.

As i need to take time off work to get the car fixed and my warrenty period is running out i need this sorted asap so they are going to be getting some well narcked phone calls very soon if things don't improve.

As i said, i've praised them in the past where it has been due but the customer service on this one has been nothing short of appauling. Even if the problem is with Subaru they could call and say something!

Can i take my invoice for the inspection to another dealer and get it sorted there? Not keen on paying twice for that.

You normally hear good reports about Ian Grieve. I bought my car from them and had no real complaints.

In these situations I normally go in, jump up and down and refuse to leave. That method certainly works with other dealers!

Try speaking to Adam Grieve the franchise manager, explain your concerns and that the service just isn't good enough etc etc.

Alternatively, go direct to Subaru themselves.
