Hello everyone,

I'm really happy and impressed with the proposed turnout for the introduction meet in December.

Because there is a much higher turnout than I expected, I have enquired about changing the meeting venue to the Ace Cafe so there is adequate parking for all of our beautiful scoobs.

I only have to confirm it with them, but first I wanted hear everyones thoughts on this slight alteration.

I think we need to find a place where you dont get BOY RACERS going. It's not what S.I.D.C is about and not the impression we want. We have to find somewhere where Familys can go. and with a big car park i.e a Harvester's or something like that. Dont think we will find a place near central London so need a place on the outer limits. . ACE cafe is good but i dont think you will get a spot as you have to book with them and i think they are all booked up. Good luck Mark.

OK with me (I might be wrong but there was some issues sometime ago with the Ace).

Personally I'd like our own venue not sharing others, there is this place,

along the A40 just pass hanger lane near the old Hover building.

Might have to contact them though.

Also you might want to check this place, Osterly Park Hotel 020) 8568 9981 on the Great West Road/A4 again a call might be in order.

I have spoken to the nice Lady that tend's for all my needs about being allowed out. She has talked to my Doctors and they have confirmed that as long as I take my medication and that as long as I'm not excited to much I should remain quite sane for the night. But BASER 999 must promise to look after me. I will be bringing my nurse.

ACE CAFÉ HAVE BEEN WONTING TO GO THERE FOR SOME TIME

Hello everyone!

I was thinking about the 8pm time I set earlier, this may well be tricky at the Ace Cafe, the north bound circular is a nightmare at that time as we all know.

They have a bike club meeting there at about 12:30pm, but the rest of the day seems clear. I see a good time being 13:30 - 14:30, any thoughts?

Hi Jason, hope all is well mate. I understand what you mean about the boy-racers, I do have about 4 family orientated venues in the pipeline already which will provide what we are all looking for (hopefully!). I check out the places that you mentioned below, but first of all I want to meet all of you!

Anyway please post up any suggestions you have for the region, and lets get the Capital Scoobies Crew rolling!

Ace is a good venue. It doesn't bother me if its popular with boy racers, this is a scooby meet so I reckon the crowd will be cool and I'll attend if I can (you also get your fair share of boy racers n chavs at McD's )

Edited to add: The other benefit is you get to see some lovely bikes at Ace, too

We must remember that this is a S.I.D.C meet for members and scooby owners that may want to look at or wish to join the club and their familys.

Sorry about the slow response.

The venue will definatley be the Ace Cafe, just been trying to confirm the time but it seems the coordinator is out of the office.

Will confirm with you all as soon as she replies.

TDI sounds like a great suggestion, i'll certanly be up for seeing what power is on show, as well as meeting some more of the Kent Scoobies Crew, guess we can talk more about it on the 9th?!?
