st3ph3n Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Oh lads? I can go you one better than a Spy shot - http://www.sidc.co.uk/index.php?option=com...70&Itemid=1 Remember where you read it first.
RA Dunk Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 im liking that! seems to sit well low though dont it
st3ph3n Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Where did you find that then? The Internet The main website for the club is going to be a great source for Scooby news, just trying to get a bit of momentum going! Plus I want a test drive in one to do a review Anyway - to the spy shots. Anyone notice the size of the front brakes? 6 pots?
scouk Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 HELP!!!! I'm starting to like it!!!!!!! Those rear lights still need sorting out though..
andy Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 If anyone asks, I never saw this topic, right? It's copyright photos and it's leeching bandwidth I know nothing... Oh, and I stand by my original statement on this car - you can't polish a turd
scouk Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Hmnn.. Heres a thing.. Would you buy it if it had a CM350 badge on it? A new Colin McRae edition with 350bhp? (note that's made up at this time but surely there will be a special edition) Despite the uglyness.. I believe I would...

Mind you, I hate the new model (and there's not many things I really hate) Nice knowing you Subaru
st3ph3n Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 In all honesty - growing on me. The 06 I detested on its unveiling, but the front end slowly started to appeal to me. I'm looking forward to seeing a 2008 in the flesh to really make up my mind, but I think it's got a bit more of a sleeper feel to it. Having read some reviews of the new WRX there seems to be a general concesus of opinion that it's one damn capable car with a lot of improvements to be seen in terms of space and comfort. Performance too - although the US spec WRX is still running a 2.5 with a TD04 they are seeing good numbers. It uses a revised housing which sees better flow. 270lb/ft was seen on a car with JUST a very quick remap using a very beta bit of mapping technology. The STI test mule on the ring certainly looked like VERY capable.
colzo Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Audi for me next Looking at any of these pictures still doesn't convince me. Have to see the STI in the metal to make my mind up. Sure it will probably handle and have great performance for the price, but am I the only one thats bought an Impreza because they love the looks? Audi S3 looking even more tempting for my next car.
4Hero Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 (edited) Definitely liked the looks of the previous models (apart from the bugeye, sorry bugeye owners). It took me 6 months or so before I really liked the hawkeye and decided to buy one. Audi RS4 next Edited September 20, 2007 by 4hero
colzo Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Audi RS4 next Got the RS4 brochure - well I say brochure, it more like a hardback book! - when I sent away for the S3 one, just in case my lotto numbers come up. Saw a few RS4s about and they look discreet but still have a presence. The Recaros in them are amazing, quality is an understatement.

andy Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 pwnt ............. If the owner of the images decides he's had enough of people leeching his bandwidth and replaces them with Goatse or Gay porn, who's going to end up "pwnt"? S3ph3n" or the guy who leeched the photos?
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted September 21, 2007 Author Posted September 21, 2007 I am only chuckling cos the big man prides himself on delivering new shots and mine blew his out of the water.........och the banter
st3ph3n Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 I didn't claim that my shot was better, just that it was an official shot. The spy shot might not even be the standard STI. Who's to say it's not a mule for a spec c or RA, or even for some sort of touring car entry? You'll also have seen these undisguised road shots I take it - http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/19/spy-sho...ti-on-the-road/
