sgscoobysti Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Just filled up my car in Inverurie from empty right to the brim with the wrong petrol. Wife had my head full of slamming doors and i filled up with normal unleaded and not the 97 RON stuff I normaly use. On the way to Aberdeen car sudenly felt flat over 4000rpm. It dawned on me and after a check of my reciept confirmed i had chucked in the 95 ron stuff. I think it should be ok if i take it easy but do you have to do the ECU reset thingy like on my old MY00 Turbo when I go back to super unleaded. Shaun

Richie Cross Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Sorry for not being to give you an answer but at least it's petrol in a petrol tank! I had an off day when I was filling up the works car (police) and put petrol into the diesel! Realised when I had put about a fivers worth in.....so.....just filled up the rest of the tank and assured myself it would be ok!! Thankfully it mixed ok!!!!
GaryD Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Your car should be okay, make sure you keep it off boost to prevent any damage. Octane booster might be a good idea, altho I dont know how well it will mix considering you have already put a full tank of fuel in (think your normally meant to put the octane booster in before the petrol).

Stick the OB in and put a fivers worth of V Power in and that will chase it down the bends in the pipe and into the tank, no need to add it first. Amazing the things you learn when you get a remap!
