jas41 Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Hi, Just got my first Subaru, a 07 WRX. Doing the 1000 mile running in period at the moment but looking forwards to the first oil change so that I can start to use some of the performance. Have to fit a tow bar unfortunately, has anyone had experience of how easy / hard this is? Have got the genuine Subaru one on order so any tips much appreciated. Thanks Jason

nkwrx Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Hi mate and welcome. I'm sure I read on here recently about someone who had an invisible/detachable towbar fitted? Mon the Hawkeyes!
nick_readman Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Hi, Welcome. I've just had a Subaru detachable towbar fitted to my 07 WRX - not sure how complicated it was as it was fitted by the main dealer. All I can tell you is that the official estimate by Subaru is 3 hours for fitting, which seems quite a lot to me, suggesting that it isn't as straightforward as it may appear. I've also had the PPP kit fitted which I STRONGLY recommend, whenever you have enough spare cash.
