granby Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Tart [] after all the money you have spent on a car you wasn't going to modify your now thinking of selling it [:^)] keep it, drive it like it should be driven and enjoy it Wayne [Y]
wedmonds1 Posted July 24, 2007 Author Posted July 24, 2007 Its true, some nice money has been spent. I have not made up my mind yet but when i get an idea, its very hard for me to shake it. Doing research at the moment and seeing if the feeling goes away but i have been thinking about it for some months now. There is no doubting that people like the car alot, a day rarely goes by without someone making nice comments but i like the idea of a new project again. [:|]
uno turbo Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 wayne the answer has to be NO NO NO NO NO. dont do it. but then again the choice is yours... think long and hard before you do anything though....
granby Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Well if you did get a Skyline i'd get one thats already been modified by someone reputable because it you thought Scoobies were expensive to modify then Skylines are in another league
Scooby Hoo? Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Quote Well if you did get a Skyline i'd get one thats already been modified by someone reputable because it you thought Scoobies were expensive to modify then Skylines are in another league I THINK THAT YOU SHOULD DEFIANTLY GO FOR THE SKYLINE. THEY ARE MUCH BETTER LOOKING. GO MUCH FASTER AND ARE A LOT CHEAPER TO RUN. GO FOR IT WAYNE PS CAN I HAVE FIRST REFUSAL WHEN YOU SELL YOURS? I think that you must have rose tinted glasses on Wayne. They are old knowledge, need a total body makeover and also cost mega bucks when they go wrong. But ha your car does look horrible, I DON'T THINK. ARE YOU SMOKING A LITTLE BIT TO MUCH OF THE WEED? Like Clarkson did after he sold his Cosworth you'll REGRET it. [:'(][:'(][:'(]
shiralee Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Well i think you would be nuts to sell it...and especially for a Skyline...from my experience (and prob not all drivers) but from my experience you also get a new @attitude@ when you drive a skyline...like nose going slightly north!!
wedmonds1 Posted July 25, 2007 Author Posted July 25, 2007 I just like the idea of a new project and an Imported Skyline does appeal to me. That said, i am still thinking about it and the pros and cons. Good input though, thanks guys [Y]
tony_cousins Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Go for the Skyline mate [] I had a r32 and it was fantastic, lots of power, same weight as the Scooby, stronger engine and transmission and it was rear wheel drive too !!!!! Wont be long till ill have a R32 GTR back on the drive as a plaything/track car As for owners attitude, i was a member of the Skyline owners club and never once had an issue with them or any other club, Pele and a few other Scoobs used to come along for the days out too, makes for more of a laugh You will miss the burble of a scooby though, but the power and handling more than makes up for it [H]
wedmonds1 Posted July 27, 2007 Author Posted July 27, 2007 Decision has been made to..... Keep her I took Ian's advice and drove it like it should be driven and it put the smile back on my face. I also thought about the reasons why i wanted to change and i could not justify it at all. The man from Del Monty he say no . All hail the STI [Y]
Scooby Hoo? Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Quote Decision has been made to.....Some times Wayne the wanting seems to make something a lot more attractive and when you get the object of your desires you can quickly become disappointed with it. You have probable made the wisest decision. Wait for the car to let you down big time and until then enjoy what you have. MAY THE STI BE WITH YOU YOUNG WAYNE Regards scooby 0ne kinobe Keep her I took Ian's advice and drove it like it should be driven and it put the smile back on my face. I also thought about the reasons why i wanted to change and i could not justify it at all. The man from Del Monty he say no . All hail the STI [Y]
granby Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Nice one Wayne [Y] Just a shame you didn't drive it like that when the parking space became available in Nottcuts last Friday [] []
