karps Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Sorry, cant help cos my spec D came with built in sat nav []
dougster Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Tell her the scoob has a lightweight front windscreen and sat nav will not stick to it. Or use the 12v power outlet with something you "really need dear to keep the fuel costs down"
glen_cadwallader Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 LOL im 33 mate, and ive had sat nav in every car iver ever owned except my scoobs !! The day is coming tho !
little vodka goblin Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Everytime we plug the sat nav in the car it shorts the cig lighter and blows a fuse - damn good excuse not to have one I reckon, you can't beat a trusty, tatty old map [Y]
Dougie C Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 sat nav's are the best thing invented especially when I went to Wales a few years ago [] Dougie C
boris b Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Bo**ocks to Sat Nav.. Can't beat stopping and having a look at a map.. Old fashioned... Yup sure am []
Bailey73 Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 If im going away I will always use the sat nav in my Scooby....... .......once im sat in the driving seat I dont wanna stop, not even to look at a map.

thewelsho Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Quote My sister used mine last year and still got lost im saying nothing [:#] Was she walking your dog at the time!? HAHA! Jeez I crack myself up.
andy Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Quote Why wouldn't you want Sat Nav? That would be my question too. Okay for me it's slightly different and I'm out visiting new customers all the time. Having a postcode and directions is great - till you find out they have a PO Box No and you end up circling their local post office for 30 mins looking for clues! [:$] Joking apart, the TomTom with the speed camera database from pocketgpsworld is a lifesaver. £3 for a months subscription to the database and it's way more up to date than the TomTom one as it's run by the public for the public.
