scoobasteve747 Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Hi folks, I noticed earlier this evening that im running kinda low on engine oil. When I had my Civic Type R on the road earlier this year I was running silkolene pro s 5w 40 in the engine and it was like I had a new engine. In the MY99 UK Turbo I am unsure as to what was put into it in the last service etc. Can anyone recommend a good oil for the scoob? It's just that I want to give the girl a new lease of life and give her the best. Like all women want![] Cheers
scoob fae ork Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Hi mate im always told to go for Millers oils 10w 60 for the Scoob .
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Motul 300V 15/50 from Alyn at AS Performance This is what Andy Forrest uses.........need I say more ? CGS
david_taylor Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I previously used Motul 15-50, ut they only come in 4L and 2L meaning you need to buy both for a oil change. I used Subarus recommended Shell Helix on the last change as it comes in a 5L.
mrbadger Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 I have a MY98, and I was recommended (By Oilman) Silkolene ProS 10W50. I use it for fast road use. Managed to get a group buy somewhere. Check with someone who knows (not me) and will ask you about your car and how you drive.
