Nick555 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 My insurance is due to renew around the time of my move at the end of the month. Does anyone have any recommendations for Manx friendly UK insurers or UK friendly Manx insurers? Current insurance is direct with Privilege.
Zaphod_42 Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 I'm currently with Tower and have been for 5 years with various cars - imho I wouldn't go anywhere else Regards, Tony
dooahhdoo Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Been with Bell Direct for 5 years now (part of the Admiral group). They know about all my mods, parked on the street etc and I got a renewal for 650 notes this year. Phoned them and told the guy I wanted a discount and 1 minute later got 100 notes knocked off. sweeeeeeeeeeeeet.
clarky12345 Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Just a thought but have you tried adrian flux for your insurance i've heard they can be pretty competitive.
Nick555 Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 I'm currently with Tower and have been for 5 years with various cars - imho I wouldn't go anywhere else Regards, Tony Thanks Tony Unfortunately Tower is way overpriced!
little vodka goblin Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 Been using the AA for several years now, worth asking them for a quote, they cut my premium by nearly 50% last year.
Nick555 Posted July 10, 2007 Author Posted July 10, 2007 Thanks very much for your help everyone, after around 25 calls, I've decided to stick with Privilege, "A Plan" were the next closest in price.
Zaphod_42 Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 How much did you get it for? I'm interested to know because I currently pay £800. Tony.
dazleggy Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Cant believe how much scooby insurance is, the missus pays quite a bit for hers, mine was 280 odd quid for my GT4 [], Thats with Tower by the way
Nick555 Posted July 14, 2007 Author Posted July 14, 2007 How much did you get it for? I'm interested to know because I currently pay £800. Tony. Privilege were £457.80 in the UK garaged, £389.00 in the IoM parked off-road. A-Plan never came back to me about IoM prices, Kestrel never came back at all!
Zaphod_42 Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 "£389.00 in the IoM parked off-road" Thats a cracking price!!! is that fully comp, NCBP? If so, I need to think again! Regards, Tony.
Nick555 Posted July 14, 2007 Author Posted July 14, 2007 Yup, fully comp & protected. Every year, I spend a few days calling everyone & don't stop until I get fed up with it! Feel free to email me & we can compare, age, security, convictions etc.
