craig79 Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Does anyone know of a fault code reader that works for newage impreza's ? Would certainly be a handy bit of kit [] Craig.
scouk Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Yep. I've got one.. Well not a proper code reader but something better and probably cheaper.. Easy enough to use.. Get yourself a Openport cable from Tactrix.com Note will cost about £80 by the time you addon customs charges and take about 10 days for delivery.. Then download some free software for your laptop/PC called ECU Explorer (there are other bits of software but this one works well and its legally free) And that's pretty much it! Managed to clear an ECU code on my bugeye just the other week. Really handy bit of kit. Currently working on my own PPP style remap for my WRX [] In which case the cable will pay for itself..
craig79 Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 Al, Appreciate the input mate, was kind of looking for something off the shelf, ideally from the uk [*-)]. Have come across this : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-OPEL-HAND-H...1QQcmdZViewItem Has anyone had any experience with this reader ? Craig.
