Scotlands big cruise

Anyone going up to this? Had a good laugh the last time we all ventured up to Dundee

What everyone hopes to be Scotland's biggest cruise will kick off at 8pm on Saturday the 23rd of June at the Kingsway Retail Park in Dundee.

What makes this a special event is the fact that no one website or club is organising or running it, with the intention of the night being a gathering of people interested in cars getting together from across the country without the segregation that sometimes rears its ugly head at local events and cruises.

The police are fully behind the event and having been spot on at previous events in their area we are very happy to have their support. There are two magazines interested in covering the event but since we do not have confirmation from either yet it wouldn't be fair to throw names into the ring in case they cant make it.

With the weekend of the 23rd being the longest days of the year we hope the weather will be good and bright far into the night - an ideal setting for what we all hope is going to be a success for car enthusiasts (not just cruisers) across Scotland.

Some of you may already be familiar with the location as it has been used before by Road Racer, Modded Motors and Dundee Cruise in the past and is the Kingsway Retail park in Dundee. The reasons for choosing this location are very simple. It's always been an excellent place for cruises in the past, the police are top notch and always friendly and the key feature is that its easy to get to from most places in Scotland (Inverness, Aberdeen, Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow etc). It might not be right in the centre of the country but its in the centre of the country's road system and the drive is a fairly easy one no matter where you are coming from.

I'm going to this with some of Haz's site just to show the wee chavs what a real car is lol

So if you see a green classic and a white RA on a no-limit stand just come across and say hi.

No big stereo, no neons and daft kits, just power.[6]

Whats big power without a big stereo, driving about just doesn't feel the same without the rumble of the flat four echoed with the rumble of some choice tunes from the subs and 6x9's! [;)]

Wish i could make it up for this one but will be down in England so have to miss this and Crail on Sunday [:@]

CANTS, dont suppose he seen who did it ?

then again you'd be posting up that your mate is enjoying his free home and lodging care of the police [6]

Nah, it would probably be me that was doing the time at Her Majesty's pleasure mate.. the guy is raging but he's not the kind of guy to react with violence, even to that (something I cant relate to)!?

Police were no help, basically told him there was no chance that the CCTV van parked opposite his car (all night) picked anything up. Was a reasonable night until we discovered the damage to his car when we were thinking about leaving, which really put a downer on things for our group.

Cheers,

Grant

Thanks mate... only caught a glimpse of yours as you were leaving otherwise I'd have wandered over for a chat with a fellow Spec-D enthusiast. [:)]

Cheers,

Grant
