glad your not to hurt , but just imagine if someone had been in the way when your mate crashed , firemen, paramedics, police all have to live these things for theres of their lives, i had a mate who i used to go out with , i would buy him one pint then soft drinks (i liked walking to the pub due to it being a cheaper night out lol) one night he had three pints and i took his keys off him , never forgave me so hes no longer a friend , was banned for three years after crashing his mother car three times over the limit about six monthe after we parted as friends sorry to rant but a school friend was mudered imho by a drink driver (if you get in a car drunk you know this might happen ) drink driving is for brainless nobs
