  1. Hi If you add any "Upgrade" bolt on to your car without re-mapping then the mod will make no positive effect over the old (unless the old part is worn) It is possible it may actually have detrimental effect on the car causing DET. Something i remember reading from one of Mike Woods threads Therefore it may not just cost the price of the bolt on I think the topic was about induction kits and exhaust mainly. Cheers Gaz
  2. I read the destructions but still it did'nt work Story of my life Rash !!! Cheers Gaz
  3. sorry dosent look like the klicky worked
  4. ITS UNANANNNANOMOUSE There is no best. Its whats best for you mate.........End of. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/messageview.cfm?c...=y&keyword1=jdm[/L]
  5. Dipsy Hi Try looking at insuring the PPP through Churchills as they are one of the few Insurers that recognise the PPP as a model. Most of the others go to the underwriters and they then class it as an STi uk that has been MODIFIED ( NOT GOOD ) By the way what model of JDM were you comparing to the PPP Cheers Gary
  6. Working too bloody hard and not paying enough attention to a social life. Went to the Rolling road day @ Silverstone WRC Tech on Sunday (along with the WR1 OC) and it inspired me to get back into the Sub scene a bit more. Also bought new car since last time i was on. See you still driving that light weight then eh Rash. Gaz
  7. Dont listen to him he dose'nt know what he's talking about. Oops sorry actually he does Hi Rasher nice to see your still a regular on here. Iv'e not been on for quite a while nice to see some familiar names Gaz
  8. You pays your money. How much exactly for the car your after. And do you intend to insure it legally. It will be more than your uk Turbo but i guess you already know that I did the maths when i brought my first car UK Turbo Now i have UK STi PPP which was cheaper to insure (legally)more powerfull than most of your standard imports Not to mentionstronger internals than not all but most imports. This is not intended as a pissing competion (Makes no odds to me which you buy) Just my personal experience. (Sometimes its easy to get swept along with the crowd) Good luck with whatever you buy. Cheers Gary
  9. Hi Alex Yes AC was off Crap fuel was being used though However climat on the day was good as other cars were getting expected figures (well at least the "normal people" were) Gaz
  10. No my car is not the PPP Style It is STI With PPP and i do have the cert for the Proof of installation. But 10bhp seems a lot of power loss to blame on fuel alone (OR IS IT ?)
  11. M T I think i may have been the only SIDC member there. However it was the WR1 owners club. I just crashed it anyway
  12. Thanks for all the response My car is a STI with prodrive modification added when new. Some of you seem to think 280 is ok However others seem to think this is poor. I am now somewhat confused. Derek any views on this ? Cheers Gaz
  13. No can do she pays for the car. Already looked @ that possibility "Only kidding darlin xxx"
  14. Hi all, Had my Car on the Dyno at WRC Tech (silverstone) @ the wk end and results below. First run 268 bhp similar torque 2nd 269 3rd 270 Flat spot tail off obvious after 5800rpm Car swithched off Mike Woods tweaked map (possible refresh) 4th run 279 5th run 280 6th run 280 tail off all gone power increase after 5800rpm. This car is a STI Prodrive 2002 Bug The car runs on Optimax of course and it was nt until i got home and asked my wife which shell garage she used last (answer being Oh the BP one not even Ultimate) that i felt slightly better about the poor numbers my car had earlier run. Has anyone had similar figures or any explaination for the low numbers my car has. Greatfull for your comments. Cheers Gaz Tail off now gone
