  1. Thanks for the reply it got good bhp gains same with torque .I am waiting for a date from awd for Andy forrest to remap a tek2 stop boost spike and boost creep on my2000 turbo uk which i have had from new ie car not ecu

  3. whats a matter with it jon cant you understand my wording .I have sent Andy forrest an email about getting that tek2 ecu remaped to solve boost problem because ecutek told me on the phone that tek2 was for a standard car but i have full hs exhaust jr panel
  4. I will have see if andy will remapp this ecu and doing it at awd for me he remapp awds customers cars aswell

I posted on forum a couple of weeks a go regards boost problems i have got a ecutek2 exchange ecu for my2000turbo uk .Had it fitted last july at falkland but been having problems so this afternoon i phoned ecutek.I got told that exchange ecu is only for a standard car not for what i have which is turbo back hayward and scott and jr panel filter so i have sent an email andy forrest about getting it remapped .The owner at falkland was on about giving me standard ecu to see if fault was still there.So i said i didnt have this problem with my orignal ecu this was over the phone today then he said there might be a fault with ecutek2 exchange ecu and give me a new ecu so 650pound wasted because falkland are giving you wrong information about this product and you have to phone up ecutek to get told ecu what i have got a the mo is wrong so see what andy tells me in is email what it cost

Had the car at awd today .I was advised to get an electronic boost controller to solve my boost problem ie spiking and boost creep that what the mechanic told me.So i will be able to play more on the back roads round carnoustie at the weekends and get the full benifit of ecutek2 full decat and full boost.So i will be getting a blitz sbc type s 2 saturday from now so here comes trouble free motoring again kev
  8. Regards me fitting an oil catch tank i am taking the car in to awd to let them sort my boost problem i hope it gets sorted.I will ask about price for samco induction pipe because can see little cracks round breather pipe connections
  9. I read stuff regarding breather system on andy forrest web site. He writes that the crankcase breather can cauase these problems

Would fitting oil catch tank stop the oil from the breather on crankcase to the intake its an my2000 turbo fulldecat ecutek2 exchange because i think this is causeing my boost problems .I have cleaned solenoid pipes before plus i checked breather pipes and cleaned the crankcase to intake was the worst so cleaned with carb cleaner ie i took pipe of to do this stuck pipe back on took for a drive did this lot couple of weekends ago perect held boost no fluctuation.But yesterday the boost problem came back i checked this same breather pipe oily again.I am wondering would fitting oil catch tank solve this any ideas please
  11. lessels did you find out if it has had remap after it had been on the rolling road .I was the guy you were speaking to when you asked about were the ecu was
  12. I think i have solved boost problem ie i cleaned breathers with carb cleaner pipes were a bit oily so its holding boost better now . Sortted the boost drop with drilling restrictor to 1.2 . but i put it back down to 1mm with tapping ends with hammer a bit rough but it works this increased boost back to were it was .So happy now i hope it lasts
  13. Would cleaning the engine breathers help with boost solenoid problems like eratic boost it reaches boost target higher in rev range ie 3 4 5 then start flicking back and forward . I have cleaned pipes attached to boost soleniod ie fill with carb cleaner then have taken for a run cured for couple of weeks then starts again.I phoned ecutek up spoke about problem he said drill restrictor in pipe 1.2mm but boost droped in pressure my2000 classic full decat tek2 exchange I know its in wrong section .I thought you lot might help with this proplem or could some one move it strictly technical please .Any help please

Hello racing snake .I phoned demon tweeks about droplinks they dont stock .They buy them in and it takes two weeks or more .AWD have them because ordered them .I phoned to day i am getting the steel ones front and rear fitted.You could try Job Gevers telphone 01383 -820820 hes whiteline agent for the uk
  16. Just had car serviced at awd oil levels on the right mark .jcscoob already have a dawes it was on before ecutek and i took it of .Hows the car doing jcscoob because i see paddy and davie are at dalgety bay this saturday.I will try the dawes back on an see how it goes

My 2000 turbo full decat tek2 exchange ecu .I am having problems with boost ie 3 4 5 it goes to 20 psi fluctuates .I have to clean out valve on drivers near air box plus pipe work this cures for a time .Then it comes back should i stick on dawes to cure this . I dont know how accurate boost gauge is with 20psi on tdo4 ? an ideas please

  22. My local paper says theres speed camera locations ie a9 Stirling to Perth and Inverness and the a90 Perth to Dundee and Aberdeen.This is told in the Dundee Courier starting from today so watch for tomorrow with these areas going to knockhill
  23. I have been to awd .they plugged in the select monitor looked at the information reset ecu went for a run came back did the same test no faults so maf allright plus new idle control valve costs 237pound including vat and sidc discount for my2000
