Ah well.. I'm doing over twenty thousand miles a year driving these days mate.. she does less than 10k.. what with fuel, servicing and running costs it's cheaper for her to run about in it.. I get to play sometimes.. and don't worry.. she ain't like driving Miss Daisy in it either..!

Saw this thread and thought I'd say hi.. The Missus has just brought a Wagon.. a 54 plate WRX.. Our first wagon, but not our first Scooby..!

Very sad news.. Only met him the once, but he was always on here giving good help and advice, and I enjoyed reading of his trips to Ireland.. Rest in Peace Bob.

Thanks Denise.. good luck with the baby, just had a puppy a few weeks ago, a few sleepless nights, pee and poop accidents took me right back to when Josh was a born.. All my mates from the WRC trips, I still check on your pages weekly and keep up with the helmet chat, which makes me laugh, so i'll keep in contact thru there.. Good photo's Brin, cheers.. I'll ring you soon Badger, my old bonkers mate..! I'm doing TWICE the mileage now for the same fuel, same speeds on the motorway, just a "fraction" slower getting there.. it's got to make sense with the way fuel's going these days hasn't it..? And as sad as it sounds, with all the idiots around these days, it's kinda reassuring to be drivng an inconspicous car around without drawing attention to yourself.. Hi all.. I know I haven't posted on here in ages, but life and love have been kinda busy..! This is a goodbye, but hopefully not forever, but while the cost of fuel, road tax and insurance keep climbing, and having moved to Cardiff from Bridgend, but still taking Josh back and fore to his school a few days a week, less than 300 miles a tank wasn't financially viable.. had an old Escort TD Estate for 10 months to handle the wear and tear but that became tedious if not practical with 3 kids and a new dog too..! So I've sold the Impreza.. got 11k for it, so I only lost £6500 in 2 years.. and replaced it with a Ford S Max TDCi Titanium which is a year old.. 2 litre so quite nippy really, and all the toys like cruise control, 7 seats etc etc.. eats the motorway miles with ease.. The girlfriend will be selling her Mini sometime next year, hopefully we'll get something like a SEAT LEON FR TDi which is sporty but good on fuel.. But.. one day.. when the kids are older and money's not as tight.. who knows..? Maybe the Impreza which may be out there won't be as ugly as what they've come up with now eh.? So, take care all who know me, I've met some very excellent people in my Impreza owning years.. (and some not so nice ones too..) My good mates from the trips to Germany and other meets as well I'll keep in touch, I promise..! Good luck to you all and here's to many years of untroubled Impreza ownership..! A couple of photo memories too..

Got my 55 plate WRX from Motorpoint in October 2005.. got the Service book within 3 months, warranty is now no problem after Subaru Europe put IM straight ( just had my door lock replace under warranty.. took a month for the nod but I doubt my dealers were chasing it up...) think I have side airbags as there's tags on the seats.. just had it's 19k service and no problems.. no free servicing but saved 5K on the price.. So.. so far so good.. []

Can you remind him about the Sunday visit to CVC Cardiff for us..? His name is down as a possible attendee.. cheers. []
