  1. So is it Hastings????????? Bexhill????????????? Cooden?????????????
  2. Lots of imbibing establishments on and around the Bexhill seafront. I would have thought there would be one with footie. I will see if i can find out.
  3. Okay - I have discussed the situation with my spies in Bexhill. There is a much better chance of being able to park together on Bexhill seafront than hastings. My spy also felt that the multi storey in Hastings might be a target for the sinister element and he said he wouldn't take his car there! The suggestion is the Galley Hill (east) end of Bexhill sea front - at least to park up and take stock. Perhaps then on to Cooden beach? There are many eateries within a few minutes walk of Galley Hill end of Bexhill seafront as well (several of which are fish and also chip oriented. This is all that I have managed to ascertain before my spy went off line. Hope it helps. Granby, can you PM me your mobile (sorry.....dashboard) number? Keith
  4. I see the idea of multi story parking is upsetting some of you, and I can understand the concern. My local source points out that Hastings on a bank holiday is going to be difficult if your prime concern is parking a large number of cars together, and cheaply. The multi-storey was the logical solution for cost-effective parking together. There is not the space along the seafront for that sort of parking unless you are going to arrive rather early, and if it is in a pay zone it will likely be expensive. Bexhill on Sea would likely be the only place where you could park together on the seafront, and there is no guarantee of that either. I could try my spies there if you want more info.
  5. ATTENTION PT OFF MITCHELL......................SECURE MESSAGE DECODED AND UNDERSTOOD........................ One of our spies who knows the local area has suggested that parking is a problem in the Old Town and gets very busy both in Pelham Place and along Rock A Nore by the fish huts. Also worth noting that the parking attendants are like flies round s***e and it's quiet expensive to park for more than a couple of hours. Although not the most glamorous of parking, the Priory Meadow car park in town centre is apparently only £1 all day on Sundays and you could all get parked fairly well together on the tenth floor or on the roof. Krud out....... MESSAGE ENDS..............
  6. ATTENTION PILOT OFFICER "STEALTHY" MITCHELL..................... I believe there might be some potential Wagon Squadron recruits among your party. Please state numbers in order that I can ensure that the Squadron Vetting Department is sufficiently manned. I will try to determine suitable arrival co-ordinates if you so wish. 10. There's now a thread in Southern events Guys!!!
  11. Hi Guys Please note that date for this is up in the air at the moment. We are meeting with the landlord of the pub this week to try to sort things out. He is trying to get a rally car via the tunbridge wells dealer and a few other bibs and bobs sorted, in order to make the event a bit special. I'm pretty certain it will not now be bank holiday weekend as the rally car is not now available then. Will now more after Thursday. Whenever it is we will be very pleased to receive the support of Kent Scoobies, and hope to make it an event worth waiting for. Keith
  12. Details received - Thanks Ian Let's hope we find you. Should be some exhaust noise to home in on !! Keith
  13. OK Ian - so we might be in the area tomorrow for a time (Camber that is) and would love to wish you a happy birthday (face to face). You do seem to like a token Scooby from Sussex to join your jaunts? Do you have any idea when you will get there, and do you have a contact number? We will be in the Dungeness area, so just around the corner. Won't be able to stay long though - grandchildren for afternoon tea, you see.
  14. I would be very pleased to order a set of these. Happy to pay postage to Eastbourne in East Sussex. If this is possible, please can I have details for cheque etc by tomorrow lunch time. Thanks Keith
  15. Good to see so many Wagons over there in Kent !!!!! (or over here in Sussex). Glad we were able to field ONE Sussex member to meet you (thanks Ron and Claire) - and thanks for making them feel welcome. Keith
  16. Well Guys I understand one of us, who was not on Scooby duty yesterday, managed to get over and join the convoy through Old Town. Hope you had a great day. Keith

  18. Hi Dean As posted on Sussex Scoobies, I doubt whether this is feasible for us to make this. Family members have turned lunchtime into a full blown family reunion, and the table is booked for 1pm. By the time I get to Hastings it will be dark and you'll probably be going home. Anyway, I hope to catch up with you at some other time (maybe someone is coming to our Gatwick Open Day on the Saturday?)........................OR........................ Perhaps a joint event for the RB fundraising?????????? Keith
