Wheels & Tyres now sold

Looking to have a set of side skirts fitted and painted plus have alloys refurbished at the same time(only minor rim kerbing but needs sorted). Can anyone recommend somebody that would do the lot? I'm keen to hand the car in, leave it for a couple of days, and pick it back up with all the work having been completed at the same time. Stuart. ps - Too much to have the same guy get tints done while he's at it?

I had some work done recently by Ace Performance Cars in Carnwath. Derek can fix and refurbish (Powdercoat) almost anything. He was planning the removal of a buckle from a Dodge Viper alloy when I was through a couple of weeks ago! Stuart.

Wheels have just been powder coated in aluminium. The tyres are Kleber 215/45/ZR17 87W and have at least 5k - possibly 10k miles left on them depending on your driving style! Great drive indeed. My lad and I were positively beeming all day. Definitely the most comprehensive thrash that my car has had. Highlight was the guy and gal on the tandem though.......Can't imagine what they must have thought with some 43 crisp, loud exhaust notes blasting past them one after the other........... Bought the above in WH Smith at Newcraighall yesterday. The mag itself has loads of Impreza related articles including an EvoFQ-340 v STi9 PPP head to head and a GGR performance upgrade to a spnking new STi9. Add to this a Subaru Impreza 'special supplement' with loads of model history etc and you've got not a bad return for a modest £3.99 outlay

I had the pleasure of a full day at Bedford Aerodrome last year on a Jonathan Palmer day courtesy of my employers. Absolutely fantastic. I managed an Evo, VX220, Caterham, Clio Cup, Formula Palmer Audi single seater and a 2 seat Jag (Spun off the latter at 100mph plus). I'd imagine a whole load of difference if you are in your own car without an instructor pushing you to the limit - full on. Didn't get a slot at Knockhill on 5th March but looking forwrd to spectating all the same.

What's the script for those of us unlucky enough not to have been able to get one of the track slots re parking at the circuit? Never been before but want to take my son up with me and don't want to park my nice gleaming motor in a muddy field. (As I had to at the BTCC last year - but then there was a few thousand folks there!)

Thanks Brian - You are probably right..... What a bizzare way to describe climate control - Doh! Guess the thread may get some interest from folks intrigued at this new gearbox development from Subaru (Not).

Toying with the idea of investing a wad of cash on an 03MY WRX but it's described as semi-automatic. (Subaru main dealer down south). Can anyone give me the low down? I wanted to understand how undesireable (if at all) this 'extra' might be if I came to re sell?

Good condition with only v light scuffing at the kerb edges commensurate with age. Two Pirelli P Zeros with them have covered about 4k miles, the two other PZ's need replacing. Wheels and tyres are off the car and available now. Edinburgh area.

Any suggestions? Looking to get them off, in and out pretty quickly and at a fair price... So far, 'It'll take about a week and cost £165 seems a bit OTT.'
